David Lynch was originally slated to direct Piranha but was replaced by Joe Dante mid-way through pre-production; some of Lynch’s planned props and effects sequences were then incorporated into Eraserhead.

The performer of the adult voices on peanuts was none other than Charles M. Schulz himself, both as a discreet way to cameo and as a means of working through his tough memories of playing the instrument in the Central St. Paul High School marching band.

It wasn't heart attacks or cancer that killed Roy Orbison, George Harrison, and Tom Petty.
