Are yoga pants supposed to be too long? I'm a perfectly average 5'6" but I think these pants were made for someone at least 2-3 inches taller.

Is wearing this sort of hat vaguely ridiculous in the modern era? I kind of love it, but on the other hand it seems so hipsterish that I don't know that I'd be able to bring myself to actually wear it ever. nah i wear an old 89' nl east champs cubs hat with a ridiculous foam filled front. I love wearing stuff not everyone would have

When I was younger, in my teens and 20s, I could go in the store and buy a pair of pants that were just the right length 90% of the time. (I'm around 5'5") Now, I either buy the "short" ones or have to wear tall shoes.

I think we are both in that weird range where pants and tights (at least in my experience) are too long or too short "regular" length jeans usually work just fine, maybe drag a little in the house but with shoes are fine. these nearly cover my foot. But I did buy "short" length exercise pants once and they're totally, like, highwaters.

I thought hiking boots were a waste of money, but I went hiking on a rocky trail while it was raining/snowing last weekend and would have slipped more than I did. Investing in good boots really makes a difference.

One of my students gave me a 40% coupon for Red Wing boots that one of their clients had given them. It was about to expire so I totally treated myself to a pair of 1907s:

Google tells me that the Hitler Youth-style undercut haircut (Macklemore, Jimmy Darmody in "Boardwalk Empire") has been popular again for a few years now, but I swear I didn't see it in person in the DC area before the election, and certainly not on people wearing posh and expensive clothes.

Dry air, dry skin, not enough water, lack of sleep and stress are making me look old and tired and even my Olay Regenerist isn't helping that much. I need a spa day or a facial or at least one of those fancy Korean face masks and several good nights' sleep.

Anyway, I'm relieved that this means that every time I see a white twenty-something with this hair and a black coat (it is winter) it doesn't mean I'm looking at a neo-nazi.

Is it acceptable to wear off-white slacks? Macy's is out of khakis in my size.

Trying out suspenders because I don't like how when I'm wearing a belt the bulge under my sweater makes me look fatter. Plus I can never get the thing where the belt buckle artfully holds up the front of the sweater/shirt.
Also, I want a new winter coat but a lot of them just look like variations on Canada Goose. Show some originality, dammit.

I am having a strangely difficult time finding brown loafer-type shoes that I like. Finding a ton of black and grey shoes. The place I'm house sitting is right next to a giant mall. May go in tomorrow night and see if Macy's or someone has a sale with anything good. I finally wore out my last pair that I loved. I don't wear brown shoes very often. That was my only pair! Is this not a good year for brown shoes? WTF?

Iβm saving up for some nice Alden loafers. Iβll justify the cost to myself by having them last for decades.

Living in a dessert would be a very different experience.) Nah, you think stores/designers actually care that it is warm here all winter? We don't get different choices in clothing. It is maddening. Boots, boots everywhere. We can also buy heavy sweaters, wool coats, etc. It is really awful when the stores change over in the fall. It is still very hot here, but everyone's selling sweaters and boots! It makes me wonder if stores do this in places like Houston and Miami. Is there no consideration at all for warm weather climate? Reminds me of how freaking difficult it was last month to find cotton PJs. Just good old light, cotton PJs. Stores stocked up on these ugly fleece and flannel PJs. The rare store that sold cotton PJs only sold them with kitschy Christmas designs on it. But hey, there are piles and piles of fleece and flannel! Um, no. It is Phoenix. Anyway, I do see a lot of regular black flats and loafers. But I want brown! Haven't liked the look of the few I've seen. Seen several black ones I wish I could convert to brown. Alas.

Desert. D'oh. 6pm.com and Zappos.com may be a good source. I was looking for a specific coat once from Urban Outfitters and called some warm states first, like Miami and Texas, assuming thy would still have the coats. The said they were warm weather or summer season only stores. So I called Mall f America and got them to ship the coat.

I went into a physical DSW the other day. They had about 3 rows of black flats/loafers and approximately 4 pair of ugly brown shoes.
I suppose I can try online, though. Forgot about Zappos, actually. I don't usually buy shoes online. Will try there, too.

Outlet shopping hoorah! I just got a snazzy Michael Kors handbag that retails for $350 for $148 tax included! Almost makes this business trip to Indiana worth it.
