That commercial for iPhone 7 - I have no idea what stickers are or why you would want them. Well, yes, you're an adult. There used to be some entertainment related site that would give away "stickers" relating to tv shows. I never understood this. Sticker? It's digital. WTF? I feel the same sense of confusion over that iPhone 7 commercial.

That commercial for iPhone 7 - I have no idea what stickers are or why you would want them. What I like about this one (aside from agreeing wholeheartedly) is that many entries on this thread get an explanation from some TIFer who does know what it is. In this case, we're all like, "No clue."

So, like the stickers you've been able to put into Facebook messenger for years? Innovation!

The Fyre Festival and whatever went wrong there. I've seen probably a half a dozen headlines in the last couple of days. So some rich people threw a bif expensive party and it fell apart? This is news? To quote Tommy Lee Jones character in The Fugitive:

And it's not just random pictures or GIFS, they're specially designed to work with iMessage... Some are free but largely they're just pointless and silly. Don't overthink it.

All the sudden, fidget spinners. I actually think these sound brilliant, a quiet way for ADHD, spectrumy or generally fidgety people to have something to do with their hands. My overstimulated Fragile X brother would likely benefit from one.

I also thought these sounded brilliant until I heard from my teacher and youth librarian buddies that the spinners and fidget cubes just turn into one more object kids throw at each other. Kids! They ruin all the good ideas!

Fair enough, I was thinking more about my older brother using it, or even my (not on the spectrum, but typically fidgety and anxious) husband when he's in a long seminar or something. Kids will always find new things to throw at each other.

It's like the Big pen cap for a new generation! (I'm assuming everyone else also spent all their college lectures bending the little handle on a Bic pen cap back and forth and back and forth and back and Jesus, why is the clock moving so slowly??!)

Based on the way people react to him I assume at some point Kanye West personally insulted the honor of every American's mother, but I can't seem to find any evidence of the actual incident on the web.

He's like Taylor Swift: there are such a ridiculous number of stories about him that everyone either thinks that they're a true genius who's getting their due or that overrated person I'm utterly sick of. Both of them have been (somewhat arbitrarily) deemed "important" and so most people feel like they're supposed to have an opinion on them.

Some of them are not good. He's a self-promoter in an industry that rewards self-promotion. He definitely has some emotional issues and I hope he finds help. YOU HAVE DISRUPTED MY CREATIVE PROCESS is the greatest Twitter reply of all time. My opinion on Taylor Swift: Writes a great hook. Regardless of whether her public lifestyle/image is entirely artificially constructed or just the strategic leveraging of actual attributes she has as a person, it's a lifestyle/image I sure would like to go on a fun and whimsical date with. She owns many very nice dresses. There, I did it! I had an opinion.
