Whereas Washington, DC is one of two capitals named after an American president, the other being Monrovia, Liberia. Interestingly, the only other country with a capital named after a president is Kazakhstan (sorry, Qazaqstan), which changed its capital's name from Astana to Nur-Sultan about a week after Nur-Sultan Nazarbayev "retired" in 2019.
And the most populous city named after a president, somewhat surprisingly, is Quezon City in the Philippines. (Unless I'm missing something obvious.)
It depends on how you measure population. The Houston* metro area population dwarfs that of Quezon City, but the population of the actual city of Houston appears to be slightly below Quezon City's. * Named after former Republic of Texas President, Sam Houston
