The legendary Ice Cream Planet directed me to these boards as I'm relocating to the DC Metro area next month to look for a job and would like to go ahead and meet up with some folks / see what connections I could make. Hi, I wanted my user name to be CleverSimpsonsReference but it was too long. I feel the one I went with is, in a meta sorta way, what I was trying to achieve to begin with.
I'm a shitty musician and my inspirations far exceed my talent. I could aim for Dark Side Of The Moon but end up with something GG Allin wouldn't have even wanted as a B-side.
I like jokes and often tell people I invented them.
I work in publishing and we can release two free books a year under one of the imprints we have and I would love the idea of a group as pop culture savvy as AVC people to work on it as a group. If it sold anything, all proceeds would go toward buying Nathan Rabin a basket of Jelly Beans.
I have a vague outline. It's called "Smoke Monsters" and it takes place over six years (2004 - 2010) where a group of people discuss the previous night's LOST episode.
I sing along to songs and throw "fuck" (or some various thereof) into the lyrics.
