Yknow, that whole scene is nowhere near as effective as people make out. I find it very liberating. I found it fairly meh and uninspiring, no truths told that weren't told elsewhere better but to each their own, "let's watch TV" does have a certain peace to it. |

The Unusuals, a show he starred in right before The Hurt Locker was released. also to Hawkguy -- yes! i loved that show-- i even had a dream about it less than a year ago after not seeing it in forever, and only realized my brain was locking onto an image from the show after a recent almost complete re-watch on youtube (and i think crackle and a few other places are good for it). it wasn't perfect, but it was an amazing cast doing some pretty great work. i figure the same folks who like B99 and Barney Miller and maybe some Joseph Wambaugh would appreciate The Unusuals. and guess what? Noah Hawley and Robert de Laurentiis of recent Fargo-for-tv fame were behind the show. not a .gif:  (also is the out-of-context pix thread gone?)  recognize these faces? it was a stunning cast-- esp. Terry FREAKING Kinney ffs (all great cop shows require at least one amazing "Terry")  also to moimoi -- i think i chose The Unusuals b/c of a reference in it (ep. 4) made to Cat's Cradle, about how "your family isn't your family," and has a scene in that same episode where Adam Goldberg delivers some dialogue scored by Cat Power's Metal Heart that was particularly moving. i think of you folks here at the t. i. as my adopted family. |
