@cub Have you seen this? I'm not mocking that film's important message by posting it, mind you. If Jones didn't mock himself he'd be sorta kinda right about a bunch of stuff. On some level. There's a monkey farm in Bastrop, folks! Of evidently singular importance. I may only think this because I don't know enough about him, but I feel he adds to the gaeity of the nation more than having a malign political influence.

i'm trying to remember what the most paranoid description is of alex jones-- something along the lines of him being an outlet for disinfo, i guess. hegel gets name-checked a lot in these discussions; pitting crackpot vs. crackpot as though it were a compulsory binary. there is value in it all to me, even if it is just mythology, since i can watch Ancient Aliens with the audio muted and just appreciate the visuals as art, and pay attention to Daniel Ellsberg as a model for citizen activism and transparency. i guess alex jones plots somewhere between the two.   after all, what could possibly go wrong if the public were distracted by bullshit? |

Don't we have a place for all this "we live" based anti-consumerist, anti-capitalist activism talk? I only ask because I still don't know what happens when you dismantle the constructs which remove our minds from the realities of the world? I always assumed commune or dirt farming, something that'd be like back-pedalling to the 1910s mostly because there didn't seem like an end goal was even considered, what do you do when you remove everything people knew and what do you replace it with? What happens once freedom and truth are actually real again?
I'm contributing without the benefit of gifs I know, at least Infowars has a semi-interesting shouty ideologue at the top, we have lots of those though.
