List of television programs by episode countDid anyone know that As The World Turns isn't on the air anymore? Same for All My Children. They finished at around the same time, too. I think this can only be laid at the feet of a vast anti-soap opera conspiracy in Hollywood.

I don't know if "glad" is the right word, but this was one of the weirdest stories I've heard of recently, in this case via Wikipedia: On January 26, 1948, a man calling himself an epidemiologist arrived in a branch of the Imperial Bank (Teikoku Ginko, aka Teigin) at Shiinamachi, a suburb of Toshima, Tokyo, before closing time. He explained that he was a public health official sent by US occupation authorities who had orders to inoculate the staff against a sudden outbreak of dysentery. He gave all sixteen people present a pill and a few drops of liquid. Those present drank the liquid he gave, which was later thought to be a cyanide solution. When all were incapacitated, the robber took all the money he could find, which amounted to 160,000 yen (about $2,000 US at the time).
And then the painter whom this Wiki entry is about got railroaded and convicted for the crime: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sadamichi_Hirasawa

I'm glad there are so many spinoff wikis because so many take themselves waaaay too seriously. Like this actual passage from the Muppet Wiki's article on Count von Count:

Oh my gosh you guys! For years I heard about the insane Christmas movie my dad saw in the theater as a little kid. He recently caught it on TCM underground, so now I know what it is. The Wikipedia synopsis is craaaaaaazy: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_Claus_(1959_film)And this is an MST3K episode! My sister and I have resolved to find it before the holiday is over.

The caption under Carl Reiner's picture on his page states that it was taken at a ceremony for Jon Cryer.
Who the fuck is holding a ceremony for Jon Cryer?

There was one other one I meant to post on here, but here's one of my favorite sections (from the article on Kevin Smith's "Dogma", still probably tied for my favorite film of his.)
Before shooting, Smith warned [Jason] Mewes that he needed to be on point due to the involvement of "real actors," such as Rickman. As a result, Mewes memorized not only his dialogue, but the dialogue for every character in the entire screenplay, much to Smith's surprise. Mewes commented that he did it because he "didn't want to piss off that Rickman dude".

Ah. It's a case of "no such thing as notability", as TV Tropes would have it. That stuff is a wiki entry for fanfiction items.

...I'm not sure how this ended up on the Daria Wiki. that's just one part of alternate universe equipment, which contains important entries such as blue food bars. ...so clearly the Mantoids want their story to be told, and taking over the Daria wiki is the first part of their master plan.

13 MINUTES AGO! BLAST IT! i made an edit and it was saved; it read, "Although when a bun is particularly delightful and silly, it may be pluralized and known as Silly Buns." evidently the people who crack down on that shit are diligent.
