Whatever you guys are planning, I'm IN! The third season hit Netflix a few days ago. I've marathoned it and found it to be freakin' awesome. I was ambivalent about the new character but grew to really like him in the end. Kellogg, you magnificent bastard-snake. I'm not sure I understand Jason's sudden loyalty switch at the end though I still love it. Does anyone else really want The Traveler to be Carlos?. Emily is totes Jason's mother right? What did everyone else think?

Kellog forever! Yeah I love this show and season three was a real tour de force. I'm assuming the Traveller is the last person I'd suspect. Escher?
You know you're probably right about Emily; Alec doesn't seem to have had any other women in his life we know of.

I'm only halfway through Season 1 so far, but I'll come back here when I get to 3.

I have no theories about The Traveller... but damn, that last pair of episodes changed the whole game, didn't it? Love it when a show has the guts to do that sort of thing. And Sonia Valentine went out the way she came in: sharp-witted, full of righteous anger and implausibly gorgeous

Post-LupinReally hoping she'll pulll a Chen somehow. TIME TRAVEL I'm actually hoping she doesn't. I know no one dies in scifi but her arc is totally done here and the way she went out was totally her and actually important. I'm mostly hoping that Dillon actually dies. The idea that he might have survived is bullshit.

UnarmedAndDangerousVorta I understand but... Lexa Doig! I want Lexa Doig on my TV, and it's not like she'd appear on Orphan Black...
But yeah we're clearly done with Dillon. I like Brian Markinson guys but Carlos is the new Dillon! That is development.

Go (re?)watch The 4400: you get Doig, Roger Cross, Jennifer Spence and extra bonus Glau and Jeffrey Combs! Plus there's a lot of parallels re. people sent back in time to change the timeline.

She'll get work. I've got no problem seeing her in a flashback or 10, like Kagame, but death needs to actually mean something in fiction unless you're explicitly making the statement that maybe it shouldn't. I don't want to go through another Bobby Singer deal. Post-LupinI suspect cyborg Dillon is what they are clearly setting up. That would make him a literal puppet of the corporations. Part of this show's charm is how it will gleefully refuse to be subtle sometimes, while masterfully understating so much else. I just hope Carlos embraces his belligerent destiny and actually fights the power. Dillon as Traveler... you made me actually gasp at the brilliance.

UnarmedAndDangerousVorta With my luck, she'll wind up on Arrow. Also because that show is a who's who of nerd actors now. Also: Exactly. Continuum scoffs at such notions like subtlety, while being smarter than a lot of us gave it credit for.

Speaking of Orphan Black, the reveal of Mrs S. last name is just that crew trolling the Continuum fans as indicated by this crazy person's tumblr: FANWANK

Godammit. Keira's never been a perfect person, but I really don't like her right now.

Godammit. Keira's never been a perfect person, but I really don't like her right now. What are you referring to specifically? She has been pretty selfish from the start. I always felt that was a comment on what a culture where greed, debt, and order drives everything would do to a person even if you could see that they are fundamentally decent.

UnarmedAndDangerousVorta: Her locking FutureAlec up in the glass jail. And yeah, I'm with you, but for the most part you could always understand her motivations. This was a point where I could not get behind her.

The amazing thing about Keira is that I spent the whole first two seasons trying to figure her out and yet the series stuck to its guns in saying the resolute defender of an obviously dystopian future is a hero. Continuum is more willing to entertain complex, muddied moral waters than its writing and genre markers can give it credit for, I think.
As for season three I'll say nothing other than to agree with @ifwewait that her choosing future Alec - 'our' Alec - was a dark moment.

That was excellent. I will return with thoughts when I have more time.

Kellogg is subtly Chaotic Neutral. Not a sower of Chaos, but a manipulator with no compass besides his present and his vector.
And i'd be happy is the Traveller is nobody we've met. Or if it's like, Sonia and Keira's DNA-baby from a far-distant parallel Vancouver

I'm reviving this thread because I'm nearly done with season 2 of this show and it's so addictive. I can't seem to stop watching. It's such a good show, but I think it could be extraordinary if they would tone down the action and let these characters develop and just let me see more of the future world, goddamit show! I like my sci-fi to be creative and crazy and not bogged down in fights and crime investigations. I understand that a low budget means not including too many future scenes, but I'm so tired of ex-Mutant X poor man's Timothy Olyphant and his bald idiot boss. The future technology is so simple, yet so exciting (except the invisibility suit, that's silly, and yes I know there's time travel here), I hope season 3 brings more of that. I also have a feeling everything is about to become so complicated and I'll lose track of what's happening. I already do not know what are the three dots people and how they travel through time if Sadler hadn't invented time travel yet in they're time. And who are the distant future people? They seem to be like the bald guys in Fringe. Anyway, I suppose I 'll get everything eventually.
Keira is such a puzzling character, so morally complex, I root for her and at the same time I realise she's a fascist thug. She's an essentially good person, whose nature is perverted in an unhinged society. I've seen my fair share of brainwashed people, and it's frightening how well they capture that dichotomy. I could do without the weepy family scenes though. I really dislike the Liber8 people are one-dimensional villains (I love Garza despite that), and I would really love for them to delve deeper into Alec's character, and how the action of the older affect the younger one.
Finally, Kellog is the best asshole and I like that for once the nerd doesn't look like an underwear model with a cardigan and/or a pair of glasses (and he's curly! us curlies must stick together).
