Is anyone able to name me a few episodes that are actually worth checking out from the later seasons (later than Season 15 or so)?

The Book Job and Holidays of Future Passed from season 23 are the only ones I've seen and would recommend. Both were penned by a briefly participating writer who had just left the Comedy Central Futurama staff, when the series' future was in limbo during contract negotiations between the cast and Fox, with the latter intended as a potential series finale.

NerdInTheBasement: Haven't gotten around to it yet, but I'll admit I intend to check it out.

Ah I actually saw that one last season, and I agree it was pretty good. Shamelessly ripped off The Lego Movie at times, but it still added enough originality and trademark Simpsons humour to make it work on its own.

My top 3 later season discoveries, thanks to the Simpsons marathon: 1. The Mook, the Chef, the Wife and Her Homer (S18) - I love Fat Tony episodes. 2. Jazzy and the Pussycats (S18) - Nice brother-sister dynamics with Bart and Lisa, plus the White Stripes 3. Dark Knight Court (S24) - Featuring Mr. Burns as Fruit-bat Man.
Among the more gimmicky episodes, I liked the ones with Ricky Gervais and Flight of the Conchords.

I thought the Halloween of Horror episode (not the THOH episode, but an episode set around Halloween) from two weeks ago was pretty solid.
