I actually am kind of digging what they're going for with Deadshot. Less so with the other characters. Especially Captain Boomerang, I have no idea what they're doing with him.

Ugh Harley Quinn looks awful. A dab of hair dye on one pigtail was the best they could do?

Re: "It's just a superhero movie!"
Yeah sure, but when Batman Forever looks more aesthetically pleasing by comparison, there's cause for concern. EVERYBODY DO NOT CHILL!

I'm in the camp of "this was once my dream and now I want nothing at all to do with it" when it comes to DC's cinematic universe.

There's actually quite a lot to like in the new Comic Con footage for the Batman 5 Superman movie. At the very least I feel like I was right all along in saying that Ben Affleck and Jesse Eisenberg were really good casting choices for Batman and Luthor respectively.

Yeah, aside from the Ma Kent bit where she tells Superman to just say "Fuck off" to humanity, I really liked that trailer. Ben Affleck running into the collapsing cloud was breathtaking to watch, and sue me, Jesse Eisenberg seems to be having a blast as Lex Luthor. He's stuck with some clunky lines here, but he sells them like there's no tomorrow in this trailer. AND OH MY GOD GUYS WONDER WOMAN. Every second of her footage in this trailer made me absolutely giddy. Alright Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice....

Lex's 'The Redcapes are coming' line is excrutiating.
It literally took two viewings to work out the skinny bint in the frocks at the dinner parties is meant to be Diana Prince, which is not a good sign.
With step-parents like his, is it any wonder Superman grew up to be a mass murderer?
(The grainy cam version of Suicide Squad and its 2 seconds of Joker impressed me more than the 720-HD Wonder Woman. This is not a good sign.)
I actually think Affleck will make a pretty good Batman. But why the hell is his Batmobile basically Tumbler 2.0 if they're trying to reboot?
Fuck me, some of the SFX shots were bad, though: anything not Boyscout-as-Jesus looked pretty ropey (the maquette of Bats swinging from the Batrope was Matrix Revolutions final fight-level bad).
And I'll wager that Zimmer still can't write an actual superhero theme (as opposed to score) to save his life.

I'm mildly interested in the Dong of Justice after the trailer, but that Suicide Squad trailer is thoroughly underwhelming.

Whatever. I'll go see Batman V. Superman solely for Wonder Woman because it's the only thing I'm getting until her own movie in 2017. Everything else...eh. I'll just watch Batman: The Animated Series again. It has actual characters and plots and stuff.

So I'm a bit confused, and maybe those of you who follow the DC movie stuff more closely can clear this up. I had thought that Affleck's Batman was meant to either be the Nolan Batman coming out of retirement or at least a 'soft-reboot' Batman that had an established superhero career prior to Man of Steel. That sort of made sense to me and would have allowed for Batman to have kind of a cool elder statesman role in the new Justice League movies.
This trailer, though, makes it seem like Affleck's Bruce Wayne becomes Batman in the aftermath of Man of Steel specifically to fight the 'threat' of Superman. Am I just reading this trailer completely wrong?

Although i don't know why they need yet another re-enactment of his parents dying.

The guy was a high-tech vigilante operating in a major U.S. city over a decade-span that included 3 high-profile terrorist attacks. Nobody should be all "Who is this mysterious new hero?!".

Random thought: It would be a huge waste of potential if they don't eventually adapt the "Justice Lords" arc of Justice League into live action.

So Harley Quinn exists solely as nerd fetish bait right Nowadays. Not always. Bruce Wayne running into dust cloud is not a reason he becomes Batman, it's a reason he wants to fight Superman. I have heard a bunch of stuff about Gotham and Metropolis now being sister cities across a bay. I dislike that because why in the world would there be any need for Batman to fight crime anymore when Superman is right there? This isn't even like a "why do the other Avengers not show up when Captain America is in trouble?" question, this is pure geography. HE'S RIGHT THERE, 24/7.

Thinking that the DC films are an adaptation of the "Justice Lords" would probably make the films more watchable to me. I would be able to deal with a murderous Superman that way.

I like how everyone focused on the fact that he breaks Zod's neck. That was the most insignificant problem with Man of Steel.

That was the most insignificant problem with Man of Steel. to be honest, I never saw it, but hearing even secondhand that Superman does nothing to mitigate the damage of he fight, is apparently raised by suicidal sociopaths, and then makes his global debut by doing the one thing that Superman doesn't do (at least since the 40's) is more than enough to for me to not want to find out what other problems the movie had and what things it may have done well. ETA: I would be happy to give it a chance if I heard he was acting more like the classic hero or if this was a secret intro to Justice Lords or Earth 3

To be serious, though, it was so insignificant in the face of the plot and cinematography issues.
