RIP Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, who founded the Hart Foundation with Bret Hart (and manager Jimmy Hart) in the mid-'80s. This Wrestling Inc. article includes WWE's statement as well as links to some classic Anvil moments (not the least of which being Chyna destroying his nuts on Raw in 1997). Droppin' like flies over here.

guess what folks I went to a show (rev pro summer sizzler) so now its time for me to fucking annihilate proboards's bandwidth with a trillion images KUSH aussie open vs CCK was by far the best match on this show and they got a well deserved standing ovation. I don't know how these guys would fit into wwe or njpw but they deserve to be in front of many eyeballs as possible. at one point jonathan Gresham* had kyle fletcher ** in a figure four so dunkzilla*** just straight up powerbombed chris brookes onto Gresham to break it up. apparently they went 40 minutes but it didn't feel anywhere near that long. *tiny black dude **skullet / green trunks ***burly aussie baseball cap ****beanpole with shoulder strap lance archer vs jurn simmons was pretty fun. lance really goes for it when he's slinging water around during his entrance and his chokeslam and inverted razor's edge thing are fucken sick to behold live. david starr vs el phantasmo. in a truly sickening move the announcer talked over joan jett during starr's entrance. they should at least wait until after the first chorus to do that. starr heeled it up to the hilt and won with a belt shot and it kind of dragged a bit but both guys are tops. the main event was WALTER vs tomohiro fucking ishii. shockingly enough they went for a technical showcase with intricate BJJ laced with - JUST KIDDING they absolutely blasted each other with chops and power moves and then ishii hit the brainbuster and won. after the match in lieu of a handshake ishii insisted that WALTER just give him an extremely loud chop. LEGEND.

In case anyone's wondering what's happening on Smackdown next week...I got a new promo email since they'll be here in Portland that says...
Double Main Event!
AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan vs. Samoa Joe and The Miz!
Charlotte Flair, Asuka and Naomi vs. Becky Lynch and the IIconics!
Also see Shinsuke Nakamura, New Day, The Usos, The Bar, Andrade "Cien" Almas and many more!
I'm not going bc the show starts at 4:45pm local time - I'll still be at work (plus I'm already taking Thursday and Friday off to go to see Jay-Z and Beyonce' in Seattle).

here's some photaes from progress Wembley tribute to doug Williams after he got retired by trent seven jimmy havoc curbstomping paul robinson through some lighttubes here's some pics from the elimination tag titles match. got a tad emotional for aussie open winning bandido y flamita its tim pete dunne vs ilja dragunov seems to be the consensus biggest disappointment. pete was obviously more well known and popular but he's a natural heel and ilja is an ultra-sincere, ultra-intense babyface but the pre-match hype really leaned into ilja being the upstart invader when it should have been pitched as two beasts going at it. match started off slow but at least built to an intense finish and pete won by grabbing ilja's hand and straight up trying to tear his fingers off. mark Andrews vs eddie dennis in TLC went on in the co-main and if you're a botchamania fan you're gonna see a lot of this one! the tables refused to so much as bend and it got pretty scary at points. this was the culmination of a year long feud but you really couldn't tell because of the ladder stip (they should have just had a tlc-branded hardcore match like wwe does sometimes) WALTER vs tyler bate was the main and absolutely slapped even after a long ass show. won't go into a lengthy recap because it's gonna be FREE ON PROGRESS DEMAND as soon as it goes up because a lot of people had to leave the arena to catch trains. to reiterate: it absolutely slapped

Well this is unexpected and brutal... Roman Reigns just relinquished the Universal Championship because his leukemia is back.
The WWE Universe was just chanting "CANCER SUCKS".

What if Roman Reigns is faking leukemia to get out of going to Saudi Arabia?

What if Roman Reigns is faking leukemia to get out of going to Saudi Arabia? Honestly, I would still respect him for that.

so i went to progress on sunday but i didn't take any pics but zsj came out to idles and it was fucking spine-tingling.
he fought walter and it was an absolute war. walter is my wrestler of the year and zsj is in the top 10. you should definitely try to see either of these guys live as that's where they really shine
the rest of the card was just okay apart from the excellent tag title match where aussie open retained against grizzled young vets (zack Gibson and james drake) and the 198 (morgan webster and wild boar).

Ilja dragunov is maybe the best young talent around and imo has more potential than even pete or tyler for superstardom
