Jean-Luc Lemur Have you happened to read John Willett's Art and Politics in the Weimar Period? I did so recently and would commend it to your attention. If you ever feel inclined to share any of your own recommendations of reading material (including websites) on Corbu and his milieu, I'd welcome them.

The old guy seemed like he'd say something exactly this erudite. Seeing it come from a koala eating a popsicle and wearing a hat is unnerving.

I fluctuate between missing the old guy and then remembering I've been tricked into missing the picture of an alleged murderer. _______________ Hmm, apparently Lord Lucan saw a plastic surgeon at some point while on the run. Roy Batty's Pet Dove - I'm beginning to come round to your way of thinking on Brad Pitt, there's something off about him...

that's cool, I thought the man might have been a musician I should know. Thank you for sharing the article! From the comments: Apparently when he sold that photo of the three girls in the kitchen he sent a cheque for thirty five dollars to the family, but I don't think many other images were published of the family? He'd agreed to share half his fee with the family. I wonder how the family are doing now?

Baby Snape at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, where my grandfather is buried. From this weekend. Mrs. Snape hadn't made any attempt to stage it and just snapped it on a whim. Then she looked back and was blown away by the shot. I love it.

The girl leaning against the fridge is balancing her other foot up against her knee, not the floor. I just noticed, they're all holding one foot up against the other leg, was that an intentional choice by Gedney or a coincidence? The younger child in the back isn't posing the same way so it must have been a coincidence, unless Gedney couldn't get her to pose that way without her stumbling - in which case I'm back to saying it's posed, notice they're all supporting themselves against something as they balance. I just parsed all of this out with the very annoyed person sitting next to me (my suggestion that the girls' hunger might have had something to do with it was rightfully dismissed), and now I shall annoy all of you with it too! **unless the younger child was a boy, and the three sisters all shared that particular habit by picking it up from the eldest or another female relative, in which case it definitely could have been a coincidence -- I'm sitting alone now.

Maybe they're related to Ian Anderson
