I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. Whether or not you celebrate it as a holiday, I hope the day itself is a very pleasant one for you all. Likewise, I wish you all a Happy Hanukkah, a Jubilant Kwanzaa, a Festive Solstice, and may your Festivus bring forth a minimum of Grievances for airing. I'd still like money to remodel our kitchen. Turns out it'll cost a lot more than I thought it might.
I also not-so-secretly hope someone gets me the large LEGO Wall-E set.

The Stuffingtacular She-Hulk I was just thinking of that sketch... I still want a new kitchen, but the big gift we're asking for this year is a Roomba or similar robo-vac. Which we'll probably have to mail back to Illinois since Christmas is in Florida this year

I told Wifemate I was going to invent some kind of broom for scraping her hair out of the carpet, which I currently do on my hands and knees scraping with a rubber blade, and she told me to put the brakes on that idea. So it appears that will be one of my Christmas presents.

If anyone I know were rich, I'd ask for the huge Lego Hogwarts Castle. That thing is absolutely amazing. I want it so badly. But no one I know can drop $400 on Lego. And I probably have no place to even put it.... But, wow, I want that. I hate being broke, you guys.
Otherwise, I asked my mom for a new down pillow. I have two and my oldest one is not doing so well. Would love to replace it.
Worryingly, she said she already got me "a few things". My mom gives me the worst gifts. If she goes at all outside of what I ask for, it will undoubtedly be terrible. Hopefully, it is something simple like socks, which I can always use. Or last year when she got me a hoodie from the university I work at. That was fine. But..... her track record is not good.

All the stuff I want is expensive or not really good for the timing in our family since we have a kid on the way and other priorities, so I am sitting around like, "just get me a new kindle while its on sale so I can give the old one to the kids."
"Don't you want anything else?"
"A Nintendo Switch? A bigger TV? A cheap laptop? A convection oven with a higher range? Maybe a puppy?" A Nerf gun that I can shoot at the kids?"
"....Do you want to pick your kindle case yourself, or should we surprise you?"

Honestly, if my family gave me a handmade book of "coupons" for things that normally catch me a lot of grief that would make me really happy. "1 pizza order with whatever toppings you want," etc. That would be perfect.

Obviously, because it would take a long time to get down to the States moving at sloth speed. Also, that's probably Canadian money; in US dollars, that's.. um... multiply by 1.8... add 32.. $93? That can't be right...
