Yuengling Black & Tan, $6.49/6: You could do a lot worse at this price point (and probably have) The big international grocery store sort of near me always has a shopping cart full of individual cans of Yuengling B&T for a buck each (ETA: 16oz cans!). Actually, the sign is '10 for $10' which naturally leads me to buy ten at a time. And you're right, I've done MUCH worse:

My in-laws tend to keep a decent amount of cheap, crappy beer and wine coolers around for gatherings and guests - they don't actually drink it themselves, and so have no particular stake in how good it is. (They also keep wine on hand but that's usually pretty good, actually.)
Back last fall I gave in to curiosity and tried the Smirnoff Sparking Pink Grapefruit which is every bit as sweet and gross as you would think. It took me back to college in an instant, though. (I drank a lot of cheerleader beer in college.)

My dad picked up a bottle of Zodiac vodka yesterday for about $13. We had a bit on the rocks before dinner and I have to say - for a cheap vodka I'm quite impressed! It's apparently made in small batches from potatoes, in Idaho. It's quite viscous, but goes down really smoothly, and has a bit of a citrus hint to it. I liked it a lot.

Teacher's Highland Cream Blended Scotch Whisky, $19.99: Delicious, reminiscent of my all-time favorite Black Bottle but with milder smoke flavor thanks to the use of Ardmore rather than Islay peated malts Old Overholt Straight Rye Whiskey, $19.99: Delicious and historically important, I could see fucking around and accidentally downing the whole bottle if you aren't careful Old Overholt is my jam! It's comparable to a lot of ryes at twice the cost in my estimation, and substantially better than most in the $20-$30 range. For Islay Scotches, you should try McClelland's Islay Single Malt (I got a 1.75 Litre big boy at home for $38) - I love the rich smoky taste (like burning a private library of rare editions, but in a good way).

Summer cocktail that tastes really expensive but isn't:
1 bottle Pimm's No. 1 ($15.99 or $16.99 most places for a 750 ml) 2 litres of whatever cheap ginger ale you have at hand (I use Seagram's, but seriously, whatever works) One lemon, sliced One lime, sliced Shave fresh ginger over a cheese grater to taste (the more you use, the more "bite" the cocktail will have, but it can be overpowering to some people) One rather large cucumber, sliced
(I also normally add in Barrow's Intense Ginger Liqueur, but that doesn't really fit the "cheap" ethos at $31.99 a bottle, so instead you can use some shitty gin and a bit extra ginger ale)
Throw it all together in a punch bowl over ice and stir. Garnish glasses (or, who are we kidding, red solo cups) with a cucumber slice held on with toothpicks (if you're being very fancy, you also use a piece of candied ginger, but we're not being fancy here).
If the resulting cocktail is too strong, add seltzer. If it's not strong enough, add gin. If it's too sweet, add lemon juice and seltzer. If it's not sweet enough, add ginger ale.
You're welcome.

Trader Joe's had samples of this today. My wife had one sip and it went right in the cart. It was nice - not too sweet, nice peach flavor - and only $6.

SPECIAL BELATED ST. PATRICK'S DAY EDITION:
Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey, $19.99: This is pretty nice stuff, reminiscent of Bushmill's but without all the assholes going "that's Protestant whiskey!" at you Clontarf Irish Whiskey, $19.99: Recommended to me years ago by our very own HipsterDBag , to whom I will be eternally indebted. This is the second-best Irish whiskey money can buy, and it's literally half the price of the first best (that'd be Tyrconnell, which I can't review here since $39.99 for Irish whiskey is not "cheap booze" as I define it). Sweet, no gross cloth-y aftertaste like Jameson, and once again, lets you sidestep the "Protestant whiskey" assholes. (BTW, can you tell I hate Jameson yet? LOL) Tullamore Dew is my go to Irish WhiskEy. It's always a couple bucks cheaper* than Jameson's and a bit smoother as well. Plus since it's not as well known as Jamesons or Bushmills, you'll get recognized as a serious alcoholic connoisseur by the clerk at the register. * That said I've never seen it as cheap as $19.99 near me.

Seagram's Escapes Calypso Colada, $no clue: (I didn't pay for this one, I was given a sample can for free). Actual piss probably tastes less like piss than this does Ikea Cider Apple, $1.99: Not as good as their pear cider but still damn good (and technically alcoholic: 0.1% is not 0%) Ikea Cider Paron, $1.99: THIS IS MY JAM SON Do you need an allen wrench to open up those Ikea Ciders?

I haven't used the one you're linking to, but I did do Woodinville's age-your-own whiskey kit once. It was adorable and fun! And our end result was not half bad. I've also used something like the infuser stick, and wrote a review of it on the old Cheap Booze thread, but now I can't find it so you'll just have to wonder what I had to say about it. (Spoiler: it worked okay, actually, making a lousy bottle of bourbon taste much more drinkable.)

Hochstadtler's Rock & Rye Slow & Low $19.99 - This is basically a bottled cocktail (an Old Fashioned to be sorta exact) that combines rye stirred slow over low heat with raw honey and naval oranges. It is based on a 19th Century bottled cocktail which combined rye and rock candy (which honestly sounds like a 21st century concept). Even the bottle is reminiscent of a finial one might find in a respectable Philadelphia watering hole circa 1880. But how does it taste? It's not half bad, though a bit on the sweet side. At a bar that knows its cocktailing you'd prefer a proper Old Fashioned, but at home it's an acceptable and easier fix than cutting up an orange. I find it equal (though different) than a proper Old Fashioned made with my trusty Old Overholt.

Boomsma Fine Old Genever $19.99 - This was quite pleasant, the Dutch ancestor of Gin. While I didn't like it as much as regular gin, it has it's charms with pleasant malty-ness to it reminiscent of some of the better white whiskies I've had. It's especially nice with a flavored seltzer.

So I'm homeless, my mom just got a giant alcohol armoire for her living room, and I have to watch a Tyler Perry movie. You do the math.
I just tried Maker's Mark. I don't know if it's cheap, but I am unaware of any other spirits thread. It's apparently more ABV than Jack Daniel's, but it also goes down a lot smoother. It's also darker in flavor, like leather-bound books and rich mahogany. I approve!

Aldi's $6 Zinfandel, Scarlet Path, is too sour, even with food, but I bet it would make a pretty solid sangria base Wasn't The Scarlet Path the Peruvian Marxist guerilla group from the 80's?

This is a good thread to revive. I love that HDB just posted a bucket of Pimms Cup.
It was 100 and nasty every day last week, so I dumped some cheap tempranillo into a Guinness glass with some Mexican coke and had my self a Calimocho.

Ok not sure how cheap it would be or if it's on hand by us (will have to research at home already bring back two Glengoyne bottles so think I'd be pushing luggage space/plausible deniability with customs by getting a third bottle) but Springbank 10 yr (a Campbellton) is really outstanding.
Had a ton of other good ones here but I'm 99.9% certain they'd be in excess of what could be called cheap

Based on @patrickbatman and HipsterDBag ' recs above I just snagged a bottle of Tyrconnell at the airport duty free for 19 pounds (roughly $24, so at least cheap booze adjacent). Also helped me discharge of some excess sterling at what's probably a better rate than the currency desk would offer.

Cupcake Riesling, $6.99: And I thought I hated Pinot Grigio Cupcake is some of the nastiest shit in the wine aisle. I inadvertently bought a bunch of Cupcake one time because I brain-farted and confused it with Layer Cake (which is wonderful). I thought I was getting a huge deal, but really I just got a bunch of crappy wine.

I almost forgot. My mom gave me some "table red" and I wish I'd saved the label but it was horrible. So sweet and astringent. I dumped that mother out.

I had possibly the least essential alcohol product in existence. White Claw Hard Seltzer. It was an impulse buy a month ago at the supermarket. "Hey I like seltzer. I like booze. I like combining the two. I might like this. Maybe?". This stuff is not nearly as good as the seltzer and whiskies I just make on my own. It's weak sauce in fact, I barely tasted any alcohol, though it says it's 10 proof. It's lone value appears to be that there's no risk you might spill it carrying it out to the backyard.

Today is happy hour day at my go-to watering hole and as consequence, I had about 13 G&Ts (bit excessive in hindsight, but such is the London life).
The weird thing is after 4-6 beers, I feel super tipsy and the next day I'ma wreck. After so much gin I feel... fine. A bit wobbly, but overall, pretty good and I know I won't have much of a hangover tomorrow.
Does this happen to anyone else?

It's counterintuitive to an extent, but I chalk it up to the fact that a) I drink whisky more frequently than beer these days; and b) being just an issue of volume (and possibly viscosity???).

I bought some so-called Scandinavian Cider that was only sale for $3 a 750-ml bottle.
It was made in Estonia.
I haven't tried it yet.
