http://instagr.am/p/BzeW07CHPB8 This cuts a dash in Tangier. The same affect is not had by the preponderance of men I see walking down busy sidewalks on hot days with their t-shirts pulled up off their torsos and hanging off their heads and necks.

Oh, it’s a dress, and I know the woman who took the photos.

Advice please! I want another dress; I am all about the comfy dresses this summer. Partially because they are super-easy to put on in the morning, partially because it makes it look like I care, and partially because I am having a hard time finding pants that fit me. I am also extremely picky about fit* - I've gained so much weight in the past four-five years that I don't really know how to dress myself anymore, and I now have these...these boobs**, and I don't really know what to do with them.
1. Generously-cut shirts tend to do that thing where you have a big boob awning, where the fabric drapes decently on the incline, and then falls straight down, protecting any small mammals who might be standing under the boob-awning from the rain, and making me look 17 months pregnant. Also dislike baby-doll or empire waists for the same reason.
1a. I have a dress that's basically just a long polo and I really don't wear it that much because I don't care for boxy lines like that but it was a buck at the thrift store. So some fittedness is good.
2. T-shirt fabric tends to be too clingy, because nowadays the material is always too THIN and won't even support an onion on your belt.
3. I'm not a huge fan of the elastic waistband because I have no waist, but as I'm wearing a dress with one right now, it can be worked around. 4. Nothing sleeveless
SO these dresses have fitted-ish bodices, and swingy skirts, which I really like, and the reviews seem to be good. They're Final Sale, though, so please y'all look at them and tell me if you see anything that yells "Oh this is not gonna be as comfy as it looks on that size -4 model!" or "yeah that's clearly paperthin fabric you will hate it". I'm not very good at telling that kind of thing by sight.
Green #1 - I also really like the floral version of this, but I am very weird about wearing patterns, and I think I wouldn't like it on me. But it's so cute. Someone else buy it please.
Navy or purple, I like both colours.
*Super, SUPER probably unhealthily critical about how things look on me.
**OVERRATED. DO NOT LIKE.

Out of those i like the second one the best. The first has weird boob shapes and looks too clingy, if you’re at all self conscious of your midsection.

As someone who suffers from the same issues (and I too DO NOT LIKE most of the time) and who wears a dress to work nearly every day, I like the third dress the best, followed by the second one. Beware of seams that could fall in weird places.

I have a wedding in Texas next week. I am a bigger guy and generally have trouble believing warmer weather dress clothes look good on me (layers are my crutch). I’m doing a reading so I would like something new and nice to wear. My wife is trying to tell me I’d look good in a vest? Any advice appreciated.

I find it hard to believe there are people crazy enough to do an outdoor wedding in a Texas August, but you can never tell.

As a fellow bigger guy, I ended up buying this jacket in all three colors and it seems a lot cooler than any of the other jackets I've got, and much more summer-appropriate. I generally wear a 48/r, and the 48/r here fit fine.

I just ordered two swimsuits from ModCloth on a whim. They were dirt cheap on clearance and look super cute but I had to totally guess at the size because all of the reviews say they run 1-2 sizes small. And of course they’re not returnable. So fingers crossed.

My ModCloth gamble worked and I have two new vintage styled swimsuits for under $30. Sweet.

Jackets are more flattering than vests, and loose unlined linen is going to be much much breezier than the polyester back of the average vest.

I had told myself that I wasn't going to buy another quartz watch. What really matters is the inside, and the Swiss Quartz movements are pretty much all the same, and I have a few. But I found this one at a pawn shop for roughly 1/3 of what it lists for new, and I couldn't resist. I thing it's the whole Formula 1 tie-in that makes me irrational.

One of my coworkers brought up a new Amazon fashion thing where you can search for a hashtag, see photos of various clothes in use and find fun, trendy clothes and accessories a little more easily. So I was browsing the link and this cardigan caught my eye: www.amazon.com/dp/B07FTJCJLS?ref=glm_prod_finds_card&tag=glimpseamzn20-20&linkCode=ic7I already have like five cardigans I rotate depending on my outfit and how cold it is outside. But I tweeted the link with: "Oh nooo CV sent us all this new Amazon fashion-finding thing and I already found an adorable rainbow cardigan help I might have too many cardigans" And my husband replied with "Too many cardigans?" and the gif of Luke Skywalker from Empire Strikes Back saying "No... that's not true! That's impossible!" So, dear reader, I bought it. (He told me to!)

So I'm going to my h.s. reunion in October. The dress is casual/cocktail party(!). I'm looking at this dress from eShakti: www.eshakti.com/shop/Dresses/Constellation-print-pleated-georgette-dress-CL0062908I think I would lower the neckline a little, and make it either short sleeved or sleeveless (it looks good sleeveless but I'm not sure I want to bare my arms). Also I'd have it hit right at the knee. Thoughts?

I did want fluttery sleeves, but it wasn't an option on this dress. But I could certainly do a sheer shawl or something, that's a good idea.

I decided I wanted a new pair of skinny jeans, preferably in a dark wash (I just really am not a fan of light-wash jeans, I want a nice dark blue). A few friends recommended Levi's and Madewell - which, side note, Madewell jeans are like $120 are you kidding me - but then I scored at Old Navy and only spent about $30 instead on their rockstar jeans in a nice dark wash.
The annoying and stupid thing is that I also took a pair of the boyfriend jeans in to try on, just for fun, in the *same* size - and they wouldn't even go over my hips. Like, I understand different cuts fit differently and I could see if they wouldn't button or something but I could not even get them over my hips. Women's sizing is dumb.

I don’t know if this is modish elsewhere, but I notice women once again donning heavy parkas and scarves while going sockless in sneakers. I like women’s ankles and how it accentuates them, but they must be chilly.

There are leggings with pockets now! And I'm not talking about the workout material leggings. I bought a couple pair from BJs Wholesale for $15. I am casually lounging around with pockets.
