These are valid hypothesis (particularly crotch coverage), but why not just wear one article of clothing that accomplishes both of those functions, such as...pants? There are leggings with pockets now! And I'm not talking about the workout material leggings. I bought a couple pair from BJs Wholesale for $15. I am casually lounging around with pockets. When I need pockets and space around the crotch, I go for a jogger. Uniqlo used to make nice ones, but these are my current (fair trade) faves: wearpact.com/women/apparel/sleepwear/waffle%20jogger/wa1-wwj-moz

One of the many things I enjoyed about "Knives Out" is the costuming. Especially the sweaters. There are so many sweaters in this movie. I googled for images and found a blogger who counted 31 different sweaters in this film.
Chris Evans in sweaters should be in more films:
Get this very sweater for yourself here. Sadly, I do not have need for sweaters where I live. I do love this one, though.
I loved everything about the costuming, hair and makeup for Michael Shannon. Rocking the argyle sweater here:
I also want to comment on Daniel Craig's coat:
This is fantastic. I love it. Alas. I hate cold weather, but I love sweaters and coats.
I also need to mention Jamie Lee Curtis's shocking pink pantsuit:
When she appeared on screen wearing this, all I could think was "whoa". Seriously, that is.... a pink pantsuit.
A+ to costuming in this movie. So fun to look at. But seriously, more Chris Evans in sweaters please.

I had a pleasant dream this morning where I was a Nazi. Or it may have been World War I, but the important thing is that we had really nice uniforms. Except for the one fat guy in my platoon who showed up in his civilian clothing and a trying too hard black leather jacket (I'm sure you've seen many middle aged men wearing this exact item). I was upbraiding him for his slovenly appearance when my alarm woke me up. Anyway, after further reflection I think I was actually wearing a British SAS sweater. It's apparently called a "wooly pully" and I sort of want one now, but it's wool and I dislike clothing I can't just wash as normal. Oh well.

I used to have a pea-green Royal Marines Commando sweater that was frequently admired. I outgrew it and haven’t got another. I would love to have this ensemble on the left. Beautiful colours for this time of year. http://instagr.am/p/B5YHPDsgz2u

I sized up by two in jeans the other day. They’re uncomfortable solely inasmuch as they are just slightly too lose to throw a crisp head kick, and while I’m not routinely in situations where hitting someone with one is appropriate, I can’t stop thinking that I have to size back one for that reason.

Desert Dweller For my money the best sweater in Knives Out is Chris Evans' blue Shaggy Dog sweater toward the end. Everyone's too distracted by the cable knit, but this is the MVP, partly because this particular model of sweater is a legendary part of Old Money New England casual wear.

That one is also great. So many great sweaters in this film!
Saw an interview with Chris Evans where he said that he asked to keep all the sweaters he wore in the film, and they let him. Ha! I would have asked for those, too!

I could imagine wearing the third at right sans vinók at some suitably outlandish party. I like the bird. But, no, I can’t. Could more easily imagine wearing the middle outfit on the second page, though, helped by the fact I already have those basic spectacles. http://instagr.am/p/B553VvHI2nV

If only D&G were nicer people who didn't do things like dress that escort living in the White House, make racist outbursts, and mock gay adoption, I would support their art.

moimoi How’s your romper? Not really romper weather anymore. I'm hoping it will fit come summertime. Right now I'm covered head-to-toe in a pink jalabaya (purchased at Khan-Al-Khalili in Cairo) watching a documentary on fast fashion hosted by Alex James (of my beloved Blur). Here's some more links to sustainable brands: fashionheroes.eco/find-great-clothes/

moimoi You and your fashion sustainability! Dutil’s a good place. I find myself envisaging you in a scene of Nilotic voluptuousness as against your couch watching this Blur individual.

moimoi Yes to new laces! I myself like fat laces but I dunno, with a shoe that simple and narrow they might not work for you. But if they were my shoes, I'd get something like this:

I have obtained - via poshmark - an affordable and chic new pair of sneakers for travel. They're lightweight, waterproof, and comfortable. I'm just wondering if I should replace the laces. Maybe black or green? Could I somehow obtain designer laces? What do you guys think? I picked up black glitter laces for my shoes on Amazon. (The place where I bought my sneakers was offering free rainbow glitter shoelaces, but only as an online promotion). Nobody notices them, but they make me happy every time I see them.

I used to have a blue one back when I was way into military-style clothing. I still am into it, I just don't go to those kinds of stores as often.

I got some new t-shirts and they're just a smidge long (almost tunic-style) so I think I've finally managed to figure out french tuck with these. I feel like Tan France would be proud.

I have a lot of shirts that are a smidge too long because I'm short. I still haven't mastered this. I can't figure out how to make it stay that way.

For these I basically pulled the longest part, by my zipper, straight up, then tucked a few inches wide in and poufed it back out. But I don’t know if I can do it with other shirts, these are also cut longer in the front & back.
