I was glad to alight upon another bedtime Paddington (trying to put him to bed without hat and boots evidently being a fool’s errand) and Paddington with his Darkest Peruvian aunt, resplendent in her national attire.   |

I was glad to alight upon another bedtime Paddington (trying to put him to bed without hat and boots evidently being a fool’s errand) and Paddington with his Darkest Peruvian aunt, resplendent in her national attire. Yaay! More than anything, I wish there was a real Home for Retired Bears. |

Jean-Luc Lemur That made me think of Timothy, the late supercentenarian tortoise, RN mascot, and last surviving veteran of the Crimean War. But he wasn’t within a country mile of cute. Apparently, a she. (you know I was going to look this up)  |

There is another tortoise named Jonathan who is even older than Timothy. "In 2017, it was discovered that Frederica, the tortoise he has been regularly mating with since 1991, previously assumed to be a female, is probably actually a male." |

I think Timothy is a fine name, befitting male or female. For a female it adds a bit of mystery, like George Sand. It could also be her surname. |
