So you know how there's the vs thread on the music board, where someone tackles the entirety of an artist's back catalogue and writes up the results? My quick question is this: Would there be interest in doing something similar on the Movies thread? Not a million miles away from the TOC's Run The Series articles, I guess, but you know - less perfunctory. I'm interested in writing up a Prole Hole vs James Bond thread initially, if there's interest or support for it then I'll give it a go, and hopefully others can jump in with other series'.
Opinions, dear fellow TIF-ers?

I'm nowhere near as active on these kinds of threads as I should be, but yeah, that sounds like a great idea. Particularly the Bond one. You poor soul.

It would be an appropriate place for Return of the Thin Olive Duke's 2001, 2007, and 1977 reviews too. I would love to read it. Maybe start by posting a VS thread on the main movie board and see if the trend similarly takes off? |

I was interested in doing this, but I would be more interested in doing a vs against films or a director I don't particularly like and give them a fair shot. But then I started thinking about doing Nolan and I have next to zero interest watching his debut film and ditto for directors I like, like Wes Anderson, no interest in seeing Bottle Rocket or even Budapest again.

These various reviews have inspired me to try a project that I've been kicking around in my mind. Coming (hopefully) in March will be "#17 in '17". I'll explain what exactly I'll be watching and reviewing later.
