I mean, Spielberg is directing so it probably won't be a totally incoherent cluster fuck (see Suicide Squad), but it's not starting from strong source material. It'll be a referential wank fest, to be sure, but a comprehensible wank fest with a stirring orchestral score. |

Were either The Iron Giant or Duke Nukem in the book? I don't remember them. Both are such iconic 90's characters. What are they doing in a movie that should be all 80's, all the time?
