Best American Comics 2016 (2016) The foreword and introduction to this volume precisely articulates the existence of comics as art. Really can't overstate the brilliance of Chast and Kartalopoulos in their words. Chast's choices are good for me, perhaps not experimental and "out there" for some. To be read as an encouragement regarding what anyone could do in comics. I've read these pretty much every one of these that came out (I think every one, but I'm not 100% sure) and really enjoyed discovering new comics artists through them.

Marvel Masterworks: The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 2 (2021)
The zany web slinger is still sowing his wild oats. The pin-up section at the latter half of the book is something I spent so, so much time tracing and memorising as a 10-13 year-old. Memories of Electro masks cut from craft paper coupled with repurposing of old, fuzzy pillowcases for a Kraven the Hunter costume. Good times.
