A Thread Where You Can Only Say "Yikes"

As I got older, I have ditched the idea of getting information from an exclusive “news source” or media outlet. I look at happening events as I do the weather: right now its hot and mostly sunny and next month it may be mostly cloudy with colder temperatures (who knows). When its time to go outside; I ask someone what the weather is going to be, or I listen to what other people say about such; I look into it myself if its important and/or relevant in any way; and I bring an umbrella if its appropriate. By not being obsessed with the weather or worrying about it before there is time to worry about it, I can look at it without preconceived bias, or such, when the need arises to do so. Unless you’re a hermit and have no contact with people, relevant information will always get to you when you need it to get to you. People will tell you, report to you indirectly through conversation, or will be wearing a rain jacket and you can put two-and-two together and inquire further as need be. I, otherwise, have no social media platforms that I use outside the instant messenger function, have no smart phone, and don’t watch tv (all of which seems to give me a different, and seemingly, less polluted world view).

My hobbies include fitness training, writing, reading (mostly history, philosophy, and esoteric religion; and related topics), playing the piano, and hiking.
