We haven't had a free-for-all in a while, so there's no theme this month; you may nominate what you like. If you'd like to continue to mourn David Bowie or move on for some seasonally-appropriate romance, go right ahead. Please limit to one album each, for now. The poll will go up two Sundays from now, the 24th.

Love and Rockets - Express
Professor Frink sez,
"It's got your Bowie context, your love reference, your comics' reference, your used-in-films-and-television stuff. The whole kit and kaboodle. Not to mention the powerful wave of nostalgia, *guh-hoy**Flavin*."

I said it in the memorial thread, and now I know it to be true. I've never heard the album "Let's Dance". But I like the song. I like Bowie.
Nominated.
ETA: I went to the album's Wikipedia page, and I know "Cat People" also. Shit, Stevie Ray Vaughn played lead guitar on this album! It's got to be voted in.

Now that I've gotten through my Bowie cycle of mourning, I've been appreciating Bowie associates, like Lou Reed, Brian Eno, Klaus Nomi, and Luther Vandross. But since Luther, the master of romance, was better on singles than on albums, I'd like to nominate Brian Eno's Music for Airports Vol 1.

Iggy Pop - The Idiot
Lots of stuff that didn't make the cut from Bowie's Station to Station on this great comeback album for Iggy Pop.

Roy Batty's Pet Dove I was torn between nominating 1.Outside and The Idiot so I’m glad someone else brought it up.

Might as well throw in an album or two that Bowie produced. I'll go with Transformer, and maybe someone else would like to step in with a certain Iggy and the Stooges album ...

If there's going to be a heavy Bowie tilt, maybe a seperate one for him?
Non-Bowie nomination - Grails, Deep Politics.

My long-shot nomination this month:
Goldie, Saturnz Return (1998). Jungle icon Goldie's 2nd studio album is a double CD, with the first song "Mother" clocking in at just over an hour. Track 2 on disc 1, "Truth", is almost 14 minutes long and features David Bowie on vocals. Tracks on disc 2 are more around the 5-8 minute range (with the exception of the 16 minute "Dragonfly"), and feature guest spots from KRS-One and Noel Gallagher.
ETA: in case this doesn't win (c'mon who am I kidding) here's "Truth":
