Well, I do. TOC still haven't picked up on reviewing it, so... I'm on record as saying the movie Limitless was an excellent pilot for a TV show since it first showed: nice of CBS to actually make it, and for it to evolve into something... very different from what I could have imagined. Yes; Bradley Cooper turns up a few times. Yes; Jennifer Carpenter is in every episode. Do Not Let This Put You Off. A charming lead, a strong secondary cast, a confident showrunner in Elementary's Craig Sweeny, a sense of humour that doesn't undercut the deeper aspects and considerable audacity make this one of the great SF shows of our time... and I'm speaking as someone who just binged on The 100. So if anyone else is actually watching... please come and talk about it! Is Sands on NZT? Is Naz? Was the mad-as-fuckness in 'Stop Me Before I Hug Again' a sign that Brian is losing it, or the start of his personality evolving into a new form after long-term exposure? Will we get a secret De Niro cameo at season's end? Where Are The Other NZTluminati?? C'mon... get all of your brain working!

Hey, you convinced me to give it a go. And don't go to Reddit. Reddit is never the answer.

Seriously you guys, am I going to have to resort to talking about this fine show on sodding Reddit???I'm starting it next month. I won't lie, while your recommendation has gone a long way, Jennifer Carpenter may matter more - she gave the most consistently good performance on Dexter (you could see Michael C. Hall mentally checking out near the end of the show in a way she never did) so glad to see she's found more work, if not as the lead of a TV show as I always hoped. I also know someone who knows the guy who pitched the Limitless movie so that's a thing?

From the "What Are You Watching?" thread:
"Post by pastafarian on Nov 27, 2015 at 7:52am
Is anyone watching Limitless? It's basically The Mentalist with a shady senator instead of Red John, but they have done some entertaining stuff with cutaways and visuals that I haven't seen other shows do. It's silly to ridiculous how his enhanced brain oftentimes just = magic, but it's entertaining enough."
I didn't get a single response. The Ferris Bueller episode was definitely a highlight. I remember watching it and laughing in disbelief at a procedural tv show on CBS no less, actually being kinda creative.

I'm glad Nina Sharp is in something again, but she deserves more than a mom role. I've watched only the first episode, but it seems like a fun, breezy show.

Still watching and enjoying the show. On episode 14 or so. Thinks for pointing out the show, Lupes!

I'm on episode five. It's got a slightly better handle on making the procedural stories entertaining and relevant to the broader arcs than Person of Interest did at this stage.

Latest episode: Oh yes... Begun, the NZTlluminati Wars have. Chuffed they went there at last, even more so that Sands is the instigator. Still wondering about the earlier factions - Van Loon, for example - but it seems Mora just obliterated them before the show timeline starts.
Directed this week by the mighty Lexi Alexander; rightly praised as a great action director, she did a gorgeous-looking ep without a single fight scene.

I finally managed to watch this properly and I must say it was better than it had any right to be. A pity it was cancelled, it had a lot of potential.
