You might think I would be more cautious in my optimism, but I am not. This trailer is OK, but really the airport fight in Civil War was trailer enough to get me excited. People are grumbling about many elements, but I'm just excited that we have someone who can play both Spider-Man and Peter Parker (as I have been saying since Maguire/Garfield). I'm not excited to have Iron Man in yet another movie, but if corporate synergy is what it takes, I'm game.

Same. I shouldn't be excited for this but they did such a good job introducing him and shorthanding his story in Civil War that I'm fully on board.

Still hate Hot Aunt May, though.

I wasn't impressed with Spider-Man in Civil War (or, indeed, Tom Holland in Wolf Hall) so I didn't expect much from this trailer, and it lived up to that.
I think 2017 could be the best year for these MCU films, but that could still be true even if the Spider-Man movie is no good.
I did forget that Michael Keaton is reprising his role as Birdman for this picture.

I suppose it's nice we now have a Spider-Man who actually looks like he's high school age, but it looks like we're in for yet another origin story. Yawn.

It didn't look that origin-y to me, unless "he's still in high school" qualifies as origin. There was no mention of Uncle Ben or GREAT RESPONSIBILITY.

I think they've said we're not getting an origin movie here.

Well, Michael Giacchino has given the MCU films their most memorable theme, in part because it's already so well known:
