I've been reading a lot of articles lately about mass extinction and decivilization and an unsustainable planet for mammals, etc. because I'm a depressive fool.
So, to both embrace and counter that, I want to compile a list of the things you'd put in a great pop culture time capsule for future generations or civilizations or sentient alien species to find that give hope or proof that life, to whatever degree, is worth living. Put in anything you want.
My immediate inclusions: -The Rainbow Connection (Muppets) -Rhapsody in Blue (Gershwin) -I Would Die 4 U (Prince) -The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoyevsky -Slaughterhouse Five by Vonnegut -The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Adams -Streets of Fire (Walter Hill; 1984) -Duck Amuck (Chuck Jones; 1953) -Duck Soup (McCarey; 1933) -The Fish Slapping Dance from Monty Python's Flying Circus -"Homer Goes to College" from The Simpsons

Also ayatollahcm, "Duck Amuck" is classic but my fave will always be "One Froggy Evening".
