I am not thinking so much of frozen pizzeria pizzas (although if there are any good ones, feel free to mention them) as I am basic student and bachelor chow frozen pizza. Are there any that are acceptable as they come from the freezer? Obviously, if such a thing exists, it could be improved with added ingredients.
I have vague memories from years ago of having "not terrible", and even "tasty" frozen pizza. However, I don't know if these are real memories or some nostalgic delusion. Over the years, I have let my curiosity (and sometimes laziness and/or poverty) get the best of me, and picked up a frozen pizza here and there. I haven't found any brands I thought was worth remembering and buying more of.
Has anybody ever encountered an actual "good" grocery store/convenience store/liquor store frozen pizza?

I didn’t see this thread before! Yes. There are. Home Run Inn is good. We also like the Detroit style Outsider pizza. But there is a lot of bad stuff out there too.

I'll go to bat (look at what I did, everybody!) for Home Run Inn as well. We buy frozen pizzas for our kids lunches, and one day I baked one off, then ate a slice while I was prepping theirs, and then ate another after that.

I also didn't see this thread until now!
Despite being an insufferable NJ pizza snob, I actually really like DiGiorno. Just the basic original formula, none of those weird-ass stuffed crusts or thin crusts or whatever other strange variants they've come up with. I mean, no, it does not live even remotely up to the advertising angle of "no one can tell this apart from actual pizzeria/delivery pizza", but as its own sub-category in the pizza family? I quite like it. Especially the pepperoni, where the sweet sauce gets a little spicier.

It helps if you think of frozen pizza as its own thing rather than as pizza. Totino's supreme party pizza is the taste of my childhood.

I will take down a Totino's party pizza, but, like patbat said, it's a nostalgia thing. For a slightly more "upscale" frozen pizza, I usually buy the Brew Pub Lotzza Motzza. It's pretty decent and it goes on sale a lot at our grocery store. I occasionally try the fancier frozen pizzas that cost like $10-$12 a piece and really, they are not good enough to justify that price. Might as well get Papa Murphy's at that price point. Still, it's nice to have something on hand in case you just don't feel like going out or spending time making a better meal.

I'll keep my eyes open for Home Run Inn, Outsider, and Brew Pub, to see if they are available in my area (also any others I missed) I know DiGornio's and Totino's is available locally. I haven't tried either in a while, so I'll give them a go sometime. I think DiGornio's came into existence, at least around here, after I was a kid, so it might be Totino's that I dimly remember from years ago.
Honestly, I wouldn't have been surprised if there had been "no good frozen pizza", so it's nice to hear that some are passable.
Thanks, everybody, and if anybody has any more suggestions, they are all welcome.

You probably don't have Giant where you live, Floyd, but they've come out with a house brand of flatbread pizzas that are really pretty tasty.
You also shouldn't trust my judgment. I'm a Bagel Bites aficionado.

I also eat them with some regularity. They're a go to on nights when I'm making something I know my daughter won't even try, much less enjoy. So I don't make them for myself, but I always end up popping one or two, and yeah, they're darned satisfying.
I have no opinion on any other frozen pizza. It's just not something I ever think to buy.

DiGiorno's used to have a deep dish that I liked more than actual deep dish, since it was filled with toppings instead of bread. I don't know that I've seen it in the last 15 years; granted, I haven't looked too hard for it.

Don't buy it too often, but there's one they sell up here called Dr Oetker Ristorante Pizza that I think is actually pretty good, though its usually a bit higher priced than your typical brands

The Chicago Town brand is kind of hilarious to me.

Steer clear of this one of theirs though: tolerabilityindex.freeforums.net/post/276424/threadMy favorite frozen pizza is the most basic, cheap Margherita. I'm going to pimp up my pizza anyway and so I don't have to work my way around some sad excuses for toppings. I'd make pizza myself if dough wasn't my nemesis.

I also bought that garbage dessert pizza once! it was so much worse than I expected, and I didn't expect much. their basic thin crust pizzas are pretty good, especially if you do the lazy hack of throwing on some better cheese and possibly quickly sauteed onions, mushrooms, peppers, garlic etc. on top. depending on how much effort you wish to put in, of course. McCain also does some pretty solid standard frozen pizzas. Canadian brand, so presumably they don't sell elsewhere...? maybe the northern US. not sure.
