....behaviorally.
What are some episodes from the 90's seasons that are both representative of Classic era Simpsons but also don't feature (or greatly deemphasize) Bart being a disrespectful little shit?
We're trying to create an incentive for my fiancee's 9 year-old son to stop cursing and complaining, sit down and do some reading, the relatively modest work assignments his teacher e-mailed this week, kindly take advantage of his grandma's generous offer to have him sleep over at her house one night this weekend, and in general not turn every interaction into the Price is Right. At present what he most wants is the ability to watch the Simpsons on Disney Plus.
Our issue isn't content in the usual sense (I watch Bob's Burgers with him all the time and a lot of that kinda stuff just goes over his head anyway), but the sense that temperament/maturity-wise the fact that Bart's kinda a little shit might further encourage his bad habits in terms of how he interacts with adults.
Off the top of my head the "Mr. Plow" episode (season 4 , #9) and "A Star is Burns" (season 6, #18) seem like a good bets. Are there any others obvious ones that I' forgetting that would fit the bill?

There are a few good ones where Bart learns some kind of lesson, like "Bart Gets an F" from Season 2. I don't remember how much of a brat he was in the early half, but eventually he buckles down and studies to pass his history test. [Edit: Maybe not on this one? I forgot about the bit earlier where he's teaching Martin how to goof off.] "Separate Vocations" (Season 3) has Bart on the side of law and order, but conversely has Lisa using derogatory language (i.e. "Shove it"). I think a number of the Sideshow Bob ones might be OK, since he's focused on solving a mystery with Lisa and thwarting Bob instead of acting out, and I still get a kick out of him becoming the star pupil when he's demoted to kindergarten in "Sideshow Bob Roberts" (Season 6). Other classics like "Homer at the Bat"(Season 3), "Last Exit to Springfield", "Marge Vs. the Monorail" (both Season 4) or "Homer the Great" (Season 6) focus on other characters and I don't remember much bad Bart behavior.

If we're talking golden age Simpsons:
Season 3: Everything but "Bart the Murderer," "Radio Bart," "Bart the Lover," "Separate Vocations," and "Bart's Friend Falls in Love"
Season 4: Everything but "Itchy and Scratchy: The Movie," "Marge Gets a Job," "New Kid on the Block," "Lisa's First Word," "Brother from the Same Planet," "So It's Come to This: A Simpsons Clip Show," and "Whacking Day"
Season 5: Everything but "Bart's Inner Child," "Boy Scoutz 'n the Hood," "Bart Gets Famous," "Bart Gets an Elephant," "Burns' Heir," "Sweet Seymour Skinner's Baadasssss Song," and "The Boy Who Knew Too Much"
Season 6: Everything but "Bart of Darkness," "Bart's Girlfriend," "Lisa on Ice," "Bart's Comet," "Bart Vs. Australia," and "The PTA Disbands!"
Season 7: Everything but "Bart Sells His Soul," "Marge Be Not Proud," "Bart on the Road," and "Summer of 4 ft. 2"
Season 8: Everything but "Bart After Dark," "My Sister, My Sitter," "Grade School Confidential," "The Canine Mutiny," and "The Secret War of Lisa Simpson"
I'm using the broad criteria of any episode emphasizing Bart's dickishness or where some of his mischief serves as an inciting incident. Naturally, many/most of these feature Bart getting his comeuppance in some way and growing from the experience, and I really would recommend eps like "Lisa's First Word" and "Bart Sells His Soul" for that reason. But, if you'd rather avoid the issue altogether, these are the episodes to avoid.
