We haven't had an un-themed Club in a long time, so use July for a couple albums you've been saving up that don't fit elsewhere. Two nominations each. I'll put up a poll on the 26th probably.

Joanna Newsom - Divers - my favorite musician of all time, not sure how to describe her in general but Wiki says indie folk and chamber folk.
Band of Horses - Cease to Begin - I just really like Band of Horses, y'all.

Graham Parker and the Rumour, Heat Treatment (1976) - Hard-edged R&B with an attitude and a riff Bruce Springsteen may have ripped off. An early Mutt Lange production. A happy listen, I must say.
Todd Rundgren, A Wizard, A True Star (1973) - Follows his wildly successful multi-genre double-LP Something/Anything? with an even more extreme case of megalomania, slicing and dicing oodles of styles and song fragments into this...Stroke of genius? Monstrosity? The CD says this 55 minute album has 19 songs, but I count more like 25.

Bettie Serveert -- Dust Bunnies (1997); the best straight-up rock band you've never heard Alice In Chains -- Jar Of Flies (1994); good EP, or best EP ever?

We should all listen to Paramore by Paramore (2013). It's good.

I've never given a fair shake to the last album by Franz Ferdinand, "Always Ascending" even though they put on a good tour for it. So that's my nomination. Also the poll will be up momentarily.
