Always wondered, flowsthead - what's up with that name? Is it flows thead? Or flows the ad? WHAT DOES IT MEAN? It's a really simple anagram. It'll help if I put it in its original form, which was going to be a pseudonym if I ever wrote anything. Note: I came up with this in high school. Flow S Thead My sudden realization that one of my AVC friends has the lamest name I have ever heard is well, surprising, to say the least. I *want* to believe that you came up with that in high school. The alternative is too hilarious to fathom. . .Sorry, I hope I don't sound too dickish there, I'm just having fun.

I'm Mrs David Tennant, and I've been on the AV Club for about 2 years or so - still haven't broken 200 comments. That sounds wrong - is that right? No, it's 2000 comments. I live in NC, work in accounting, I'm trying to get back in library work and have something wrong with my little finger. Don't laugh - it's oddly painful.

I sprained my finger a couple of months ago and it's only just been recently that I've been able to touch my palm with it. I hope it feels better soon!

me and some other people started commenting on clothes on the TI like a year and a half ago. I grew up poor with tastes above my station; now I buy stuff and feel sort of guilty about it so I need enablers. I think the TI is (was, fuck nudisqus) super amazing, and therefore I'm surprised I still have a job!

Hi, I'm descended from Vikings, well Norwegians anyway, and I live in Austin, which is surrounded by Texas. The only more apt username I could have chosen was already taken by one Lurky McLurkerson. I've posted random jokes a few times over on the A.V. Club as I Am Expert, but I've been meaning to get more involved in actual discussions, so we'll see if that actually happens over here or not.

I used to write a lot of emo poetry in high school. This totally fits in with how deep I wanted to be, while completely clashing with who I was 99% of the time. I mean, high school wasn't that long ago in my mind, but it's a long enough time span that the original meaning of the name no longer comes to mind unless someone asks what it means. I just write as a single word, lower case and never pronounce it. EDIT: By the way, if it still isn't clear (and a few of my friends regularly forget and ask me what it means and can't solve it so I hope I'm not underestimating you guys with this): Flow S Thead = Wolf S Death = Wolf's Death So....yeah....it's pretty lame. But you know what? Wolves are awesome. They travel in packs and are fairly intelligent. They look majestic in their fur, and despite Middle Ages horror stories, are actually relatively friendly towards humans, unless they're starving of course but all animals are more ferocious when starving. And Wolf's Rain is one of the most gorgeous anime ever. Plus, look at this adowable wittle guy: images2.fanpop.com/images/photos/7500000/White-Wolf-Pup-wolves-7570936-640-480.jpg

Ah, Death's Wolf. I'm going to have to remind you of that one occasionally.
I fear that this is a more effective introduction of myself than an actual introduction would be. I hope I don't give the wrong impression.
Edit: Wait, it was just Wolf's Death?
. .I really do overthink everything.

Hi, I'm Das Mogul, also known as Das Mogul on The A.V. Club.
Some of you may know me from my sarcastic and often perverted comments on Newswires and from never shutting up about Game of Thrones or life in Scotland. I can't access AV Club in work but luckily live in a different timezone so merely have to give up my entire outside social life in order to be here.
My name came from the fact that a bunch of my friends call me "The Mogul" for some reason, but that name was taken so I German-ised it so that it could be sung to the tune of a popular Kraftwerk song. My avatar is a picture of the legendary Dr Steel, which I nicked because I wanted something generically supervillain looking and was in too much of a hurry registering that I never created one myself and then couldn't be bothered changing it. When I finally get around to shaving my head again I might replace it with a photo instead.

I actually never decided if it was Death's Wolf or Wolf's Death, but I knew I wanted to start the first part with "Flow" so it defaulted to the latter. This is definitely the lamest thing I have ever said. Excuse me while I go be square on another part of the internet.

Every time I see flowsthead's name, for some reason I keep reading it as something along the lines of, "Flotishead".
Anywho, hello, all! I'm, of course, ann03-name is the initials of my first, middle, and last names, and my high school graduation year. 'Cause, yeah, I'm lame like that.
I live in Iowa, and work at the bookstore in our mall-just passed 3 years working there, actually. I'm happy to talk music and TV with people (although there are some TV shows that are really popular with other AV Club members that I've, for whatever reason, totally missed out on. But I will work on catching up...sometime...). Live at home right now, and have a very adorable cat. Yep.

Apparently my reaction to work stress is to spend more money on clothes. Because at least then it's something to work "for." I didn't "Introduce myself!" yet. Obviously, I'm Russian model Vlada Roslyakova. Or a cigarette.

Judkins Major, cook and writer, originally from Louisiana, but a fitfully assimilating Michigander of over a decade (after a couple of years in northeast Ohio). My new laptop actually seems to be doing surprisingly well with NuDisqus, but who knows how long that'll last? Anyway, to quote Julian Glover in the Doctor Who classic "City of Death," "I'd hate to lost contact with such interesting people." Even if I have no plans to lock you all in the cellar and steal the Mona Lisa.
I have to give my avatar some thought. I should run up another Microsoft Paint job like my AVC avatar (done some years back when I was drunk and bored), but may find something a little more deserving. For now it's creepy fetus ur-thing on the left.
Thanks for setting this up, DRC--this looks like a lot of fun.

Douay-Rheims-Challoner. You might know me from the Newswire, the Weekend Q&A, or various TV reviews, among other odds and ends where I post site-wise.
This is actually the first place besides the AV Club I've used that handle (the name of a revised version of an old Catholic translation of a Bible, this was originally my idea for a gimmick account, revealing, naturally, I have a shaky grasp on the concept of 'humour'), I am a Dubliner whose idea of a good time is to spend too much time on a really excellent American website about pop culture.

So yeah, if there's going to be a thread about Maya's eyebrows on "Space: 1999" I will likely chime in. Maya's eyebrows were amazing, but other than her, season 2 kind of sucked.

Hey morons, if you just go to your AV Club profile and right-click your picture there, you'll have it again. Jesus Christ. I can't believe this didn't occur to me. I'm on my phone right now so I'm not going to do it, but Jesus. Christ.

Despite the tech woes, here goes...
Lupin Addams - the name came from a fictionalised version of me in a friend's unpublished autobiographical novel, which tells you a lot about my friends.
Mostly online I go by Cat Vincent, which is close to my real name. I know its a privilege to be able to do that...
I'm a writer (of mostly Fortean journalism) with the sort of chequered past that just gets weirder every time I tell it: the bits about being a former professional combat magician and exorcist who used to live in a threesome with my current wife and our ex the heiress who dumped us because the Ayahuasca spirit told her to... Honestly, if I was going to make up shit, I'd try harder to be plausible!
I live in the ridiculously lovely Yorkshire town of Hebden Bridge with the better of my previous lovers (together 20 years in '14, just after I turn 50).
Main interests beside weird shit and pop culture is combining the two... which is why I've managed to become an authority on, of all things, Slenderman. Also love BABYLON 5 with a passion (best synchronicity in ages was seeing a car with the plate number B5 UFO today), much SF and a bunch of music ranging from classic prog to Troubadour songs to the genre Warren Ellis calls Difficult British Electronic Music. And I pun as a brain stem reflex.
