Summary:
In the aftermath of Gregg's shooting the cops are falling apart but trying to get things back together. McNulty is a mess and Rawls shows that he is good police by recognizing this and knowing just what to say to bring him back. Freamon comes on to the scene and takes charge of getting the crew on to the hunt.
Bubbles gets brought in and beaten when he pages Greggs. He tries to tell McNulty several times that he is clean but keeps getting interrupted or ignored.
The cops ID the tower apartment stash house and narrow down the shooters to Wee-Bey and Little Man.
Avon and Stringer decide to burn the cash and tell Wee-Bey to leave town.
McNulty and Pearlman meet with Savino and the Barksdale lawyer. They offer him a deal but he refuses saying he will do the 3 years no problem.
Wallace wants to come home.
Burrell pushes for a big drug bust but Daniels wants to work the wire on the distribution house. Burrell finds out about the distribution house from an informant in the detail and forces them to bust it.
There is little chatter from the Barksdale crew about the busts.
Random Thoughts:
I loved the shot of Rawls figuring out the street sign, but it may have been more powerful if Orlando had not told us last episode.
I am assuming Wee-Bey is going to take care of Little Man before he leaves, Avon and Stringer did not seem to have much confidence in him. I guess he also has to clean up the ashes from burning the money, no wonder he is in a rush to get D'Angelo to feed his fish.
The fake out with D'Angelo thinking Wee-Bey was going to kill him was a little odd. Both Stringer and Wee-Bey had to know how they were coming across, maybe it was intentional? If so why not make it more explicit?
I liked how the soda can simultaneously showed how careless Little Man is and how good Freamon is. Freamon showing off just a bit when the detectives ask him who he is, "Pawn Shop detail" bitches.
