The basic structure of "Phineas and Ferb" episodes is centered around the boys deciding to invent something, which Candace finds to be bustable. This doesn't really happen in "The Magnificent Few," although Candace does want to bust them.
The episode starts off with Phineas and Ferb riding ponies in the world's most boring activity. We then find out Doofenshmirtz's big evil plan is to control termites to destroy wood in THE TRI-STATE AREA so people will have to buy aluminum siding from him. He releases the termites on THE TRI-STATE AREA, which destroys the fences cows are sitting in and they stampede. Phineas, Ferb and Isabella worry about the cows headed towards town and decide to round them up.
They end up herding them into the mall, then through downtown. Maximum busting potential. Candace tries to stop the stampede, which results in a scene that feels like it goes on too long with an elderly shopkeeper and a wolf puppet, before buying a cow whistle. It doesn't work and ultimately the boys do manage to get the cows back into a corral thanks to a mishap Doof makes.
Although the first half is fun, but not among the best, the second half is an interesting part is great as it shows the boys playing around with the idea of summer by making winter in the summer. As Phineas points out, in the winter it's too to enjoy the snow so it works well in the summer.
This is yet another episode where Candace initially hates what the boys do, but then Jeremy shows up and everything seems much better. However, she then becomes very jealous when she sees him skiing with a Swedish exchange student named Didi. Of course, Candace gets a pleasant surprise in the end, but she spends most of the episode chasing after Jeremy.
Still, like the beach party in the previous episode, it's fun to see how the boys go over the top and play with summer on unbearably hot days.
Meanwhile, Doof has a plan involving...chocolate in his own form to boost his popularity. I've got to admit, the plots from him get better as the series progresses.
STRAY THOUGHTS
-Sorry for the delay, but I've had midterms.
-Things Introduced in this Episode: Self-destruct buttons.
-Ferb's Line(s): "I reckon herding cattle ain't for city folk" and "It's a unique and logic-defying amalgam of summer and winter."
-The Songs: "On the Trail" is very cheeky, while "In the Mall" plays cleverly off of "On the Trail." "Talkin' About S'winter" feels like something out of an Irving Berlin movie and that's wonderful.
-We meet Doof's daughter Vanessa, voiced by Olivia Olsen whom is probably best known as voicing Marcelline on "Adventure Time."
-So Linda just leaves the boys at the carnival? Okay then.
-Isabella's horse reminds me of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic"
-I love Lawrence Fletcher so much.
-Perry doesn't write notes, he just draws Major Monogram.
-There's an excellent bobsled joke in S'Winter.
-"Heck, we could even ford a stream! I don't even know what that means!"
-Monogram: "And she was like, 'Oh no you didn't'."
-"Be easy on your sister. She's been a bit on edge recently."
-"You ate your own heiney?"
