Summary:
Frank's body is brought in and Nick wants to go after the Greek but his father convinces him to turn himself in.
Stringer meets with Brother Mouzone but Mouzone says he is done with them.
Bubbles gets arrested trying to steal from an ambulance but Greggs gets him off when he starts talking about Brother and the arrangement Stringer and Proposition Joe seem to have. Subsequently McNulty is able to get a pic of them together and hands it off to Daniels as a possible next case.
Sergei starts to talk after seeing the tapes from the warehouse where they killed the man who killed the container girls, naming Spiros and the Greek and their hotel. But the unit misses them as they change names and get on an airplane.
Omar sets his sights on Stringer after he lied to him about Brother Mouzone.
Avon agrees to Proposition Joe's proposition.
Nick is put in protective custody but goes back to the docks to try to work.
A montage shows Ziggy in jail, Eton and Horseface in a courtroom, Clay Davis breaking ground on the grain pier condominiums, and drugs and women still flowing into the city as Freamon boxes up the port investigation files.
Random thoughts:
Pretty down ending for the season, but I expect that is on purpose.
I was kind of surprised Sergei talked, he seemed a bit harder than that.
Stringer seems to get lucky with Avon retroactively agreeing to what he had already done, but not so lucky with Mouzone mad and Omar gunning for him. Perhaps Avon is starting to catch on too.
Greggs seems really against having a kid, did she agree just to get her wife off her back?
I was still pretty nervous for Nick, even after the Greek and Spiros left. I have to admit I was holding my breath when we came back to him after the montage. I guess D'Angelo did not get it until the next season so Nick is not out of danger yet.
I am not sure what is in store for next season, it seems like a return to Stringer and the projects. I assume the Greek is not going too far, since Spiros told Proposition Joe that it would only take them a week to get back up.
