Summary: Brother Mouzone is back and on the hunt for Omar, sending his man into the gay bars.
Omar starts to stake out the Barksdale funeral home.
Marlo and Avon are still at war and Proposition Joe threatens to cut off the drug supply if Avon does not back down. After getting nowhere with Avon, Stringer calls the police and gives them Avon's condo.
Colvin comes clean to Rawls and Burrell about hamsterdam after a reporter shows up. Burrell takes it to the mayor who is impressed by the crime reduction.
Daniels' crew gets a wire on Bodie but only for 30 hours until the phones are replaced. They get Judge Phelan to pre-approve taps on phones and then get Bubbles to set up a buy with Freamon to sell the phones wholesale to the Barksdale buyer.
Cutty sets up his gym and makes slow progress in getting the kids interested.
Random thoughts: I understand Brother Mouzone wants Omar for shooting him, but I figured a man like him would go straight for the guy calling the shots rather than the hired gun. Maybe he just wants to talk to him...
Now McNulty is whining about not being smart enough for D'Agnostino while heaping disdain on anyone who dares to go against him. They are really subverting the hero-cop stereotype. I used to think McNulty was a young and brash Freamon, but it is seeming less and less likely that he will ever mature.

I love how nonchalantly that shot of Rawls is presented. It's so casual that you're like wait, did I know this all along?
This episode has one of the all-time most obvious speeches in a show full of obvious speeches - Bunny's thing about beat cops vs. soldiers. It's a great speech and it makes total sense, and one of the reasons The Wire is the greatest show of all time is that when it makes speeches like that, they're actually smart.
