Summary: Carcetti's mayoral campaign is not going so well, he is overworked and Gray is not picking up enough of the black vote to bring Royce down.
Bodie has a new crew on an unpopular corner. Some of the kids working with him have a rivalry with another group of kids and throw urine-filled water balloons at them. Lex dislikes Fruit because he is dating a girl Lex likes or used to date.
The major crime unit is up an Marlo's phones because he not as careful as Avon was but they are not finding any murders despite his growing control of corners.
McNulty is in uniform in the Western district and Daniels is the new major of the Western.
Prez starts to work as a teacher.
Lex kills Fruit outside a nightclub.
Marlo tells his crew to just kill Lex, not all of Bodie's crew.
Snoop and Chris utilize their new nail gun to hide bodies (including Lex) in vacant row houses.
Random thoughts: So it seems we are moving on to the schools this season. Could be good, but I am already getting a Wallace feeling from Randy. Damn I hope not.
Fun juxtaposition of the irrelevant powerpoint sessions at the school and police office.
I am probably least vested in Carcetti, so I was hoping there would be a bit less of the politics this season, but it is not looking like it.

This is my least favorite version of "Down in the Hole" so far.
