Summary:
Officer Walker is harassing the kids again, this time for just being in his neighborhood. Michael plans to get back at him and they steal the ring and throw paint on him.
Daniels gives the major crimes unit to Freamon, he looks at the Barksdale subpoenas as the mayor meets the same people at a charity event.
Carcetti deals with the fallout from Herc being rough with the minister that Bubbles sent him after. He has Rawls give the responsibility to Daniels to do the right thing, but Burrell has his own ideas about how to make himself indispensable to the mayor.
Valchek tells Rawls that Daniels is being groomed for Commissioner and laughs at him thinking he could get it.
Randy and Michael get into a fight with kids who know Randy is a snitch. Prez is pissed at Carver for letting it get out. Carver finds out that Bunk never knew about Randy.
Omar is doing surveillance on Slim Charles and finds out about the New Day Co-op and how Marlo and Proposition Joe are connected. He threatens Joe in order to set up Marlo.
Marlo tells Chris that Michael's friend is the snitch.
Prez tells Bunk and Freamon about the playground where Randy told Lex to go. Freamon puts it all together with Herc talking about finding a nail gun in Chris's SUV and starts looking at the boarded up doorways.
Random thoughts:
Kind of funny that a powerless guy like Bubbles is making the mayor eat his first shit sandwich.
I assume McNulty just shows up now to give a few pieces of homespun wisdom and a shit-eating grin. Even when he is doing good, he kind of rubs me the wrong way.
"Fuuuuck meeee" another great silent detective scene.
So many bad things that could happen in the next episode.
I just checked out season 5 and shit! There are only 10 episodes!?!
