Summary:
Bubbles turns himself in, saying he killed Sherrod. He tries to hang himself in the interrogation room but Landsman cuts him down. Landsman takes pity on him and sends him to rehab instead of jail.
Bodie is increasingly upset about Little Kevin's murder and kicks in a police car window. After McNulty gets him out, they go to have lunch where he talks about how Marlo is without honor. One of Marlo's men see him talking with McNulty.
The major crimes unit continues to pull bodies from the vacants. They are set up in a gym in an old school. Freamon and Greggs take Herc to find out about the nail gun he found in Chris and Snoops SUV. They arrest Chris and Snoop after Greggs finds a gun in a hidden compartment but they are soon out on bail.
Omar offers to sell the drugs he stole back to Proposition Joe. Joe accepts.
Marlo meets Vondas to talk about the stolen shipment. He later follows him to a meeting with Joe.
Dukie is living with Michael in an apartment provided by Marlo but he stops going to school and starts selling drugs.
Carver tries to keep Randy out of a group home but he is unsuccessful and Randy is beat as a snitch in the home.
After getting connected to him via Cutty, Colvin talks to Wee-Bey about adopting Namond. Wee-Bey agrees.
Bodie is killed by one of Marlo's men.
Carcetti turns down the money from the governor for the schools while Colvin and the professor are unable to convince Carectti's staff to continue their special class.
McNulty is upset about Bodie's death and decides to go back to major crimes.
Michael makes his first kill for Marlo.
Carver chases some very small kids out of the loading dock where Michael, Dukie, Namond, Randy and Donut used to hang out. Their names are spray painted on the door.
Random thoughts:
That one was tough. A ton of very powerful moments. Randy telling Carver that it was ok because he tried. Dukie giving Prez a gift. Bodie talking about how he felt old. Greggs not going in to see Bubbles as he broke down. Jesus. So much gone to shit and so much left to worry about for next season. Will McNulty, Namond and Bubbles be able to stay clean?
Omar and Landsman are again our comic relief. Landsman as he rails against Freamon, "He is a Hun, a Visigoth, a barbarian at the gate, clamoring for noble Roman blood and what's left of our clearance rate." and Omar as he walks right into Proposition Joe's shop with his deal, "Say, how's my clock ticking Joe?" and then proceeds to pay Joe for the work and winks at him, "Be in touch."
