NONE of them. Wikipedia is shit and the people who run and edit it are control freak spazzes desperately flopsweating their unwashed stink over what they consider their precious 'kingdom/fifedom.' I tried for the better part of 5 years to put together an entry for porn star Alicyn Sterling and put it up on the site, but the longest it lasted was about 80 minutes. I got in a long knock down drag out discussion with the shithead who had staked their claim to the 1990's porn star section. He kept moving the goalposts as to why Sterling was considered a 'star.' In the short time you've been here, you've made multiple posts about how much you like porn. Dude, me too, but you're being fucking weird.

There's more on that one at Know Your Meme (http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/preved-medved-%D0%BF%D1%80%D0%B5%D0%B2%D0%B5%D0%B4-%D0%BC%D0%B5%D0%B4%D0%B2%D0%B5%D0%B4): "Putin or Kremlin did not provide a response to the question, but the Associated Press reportedly interpreted the question as a reference to then-vice-prime-minister Dmitry Medvedev."

^So maybe your beef is with the shithead who disagreed with you about a porn star's relevancy, rather than one of the most popular websites for information in the world. Because the fact is, it's unlikely that the person you were arguing with was Jimmy Wales. That's not to say the website doesn't have flaws, or assholes in positions of (relative) power, but that is one fucking broad brush you're wielding. Sure it's a broad brush, because what I said doesn't just apply to porn stars it applies to EVERY niche and subject imaginable, they are all controlled by some stinking unwashed flopsweated spazz desperate to retain control and prove to someone that they are the sole arbiter of what is and isn't considered worthy of inclusion not just on the site but on their own personal kingdom/fifedom. Here's the thing you casually hand wave away. Wikipedia claims to be or wants to be the repository of everything and everyone in the world/universe, therefore why the fuck would they care if a particular porn star has an entry or not? They aren't the ones who have to worry about paying the fees associated with the site and it's not like web storage costs a bajillion dollars a month or whatever nowadays. If there are entries on some bullshit issue of a Batman comic book that run over 4,000 words you can be damn sure there is room for a 900 word article about a porn star. You know, it's not that you don't have a point, but it's simply impractical for a free website that operates on limited resources to consider everything noteworthy. It's unfortunate that those guidelines are neither universal nor clear, but hey, we're getting about what we paid for. Here are some cats (List may not be complete)

I spent a lovely afternoon at work reading the synopses of all 4 Tremors movies. Also, my favorite Wikipedia excerpt is from the one for Frank Zappa's Over-Nite Sensation:

If you look at singer-songwriter Jeremy Messersmith's Wikipedia page, there's a brief section about his gaming habits: It used to contain the follow bit that made me laugh, but which someone has excised from the page since last I checked (although you can still find it on websites that just copied and pasted the wiki article): I don't know what the strikes me as so funny, but there it is.

I'm made a a couple of posts in which I've mentioned PORNOGRAPHY???!!!! HOW DARE I!!!!!! WILL NO ONE THINK OF THE KIDDIES AND THE KIDDIE DIDDLERS!!!!!! I want to you to explain to me why making a couple of posts in which I mention porn or a porn star or whatever makes me a sicko creepo wierdo, but making a couple of posts about COMIC BOOKS makes you HTE KEWL!!!!!! or whatever. Porn is mainstream and has been for nearly a decade. Friday I was clicking channels and happened on that Panw Stars show with the bald dude and his two retard sons and crabby father or whatever and lo and behold THERE WAS A PORN STAR AS A POTENTIAL CUSTOMER!!!!!!! ZOMG!!!! NOT THAT ANYTHING BUT THAT!!!!! Porn star stud was trying to sell his survivalist van which was really hilarious because as creeped out as one of the retard sons was by the dude and his van the behind the scenes story of the porn dude and his apocalyptic worldview would have sent retard guy screaming for his bald daddy if he'd read the article from a few months ago on the porn dude. what

Porn is mainstream the way defecating is. We all do it, but most of us don't like to talk about it at the dinner table.

I mean porn is great and there's nothing wrong with being in it, but I've never seen anyone get as bizarrely worked-up about it as Opalcat.

"The datastream will include a specially designed primer, or set of simple scientific principles and data that would be common to all extraterrestrial intelligences, providing a common base of reference to enable those receiving the signal to commence the mammoth task of decoding the encyclopedia. The message will be accompanied by a short video message by Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales, and images required for the re-creation of fundraiser banners." (Emphasis mine) You know, we could have all sorts of interesting debates as to what would be most important to pass along to an alien culture- our history, our arts, scientific knowledge we've gleaned over the years, the importance of not abusing Gorilla Month (perhaps this was in fact the Terminal Event in question?) but I like the implication that of equal importance is making sure they use the same pictures of now extinct humans when they put up the banner saying "If Every Zorblaxian Donated Half A F'Nerp, This Banner Would Gone Within The Next Traversal of the Day-Star" And then it turns out they've got a moneyless Star Trek economy anyway. Of course, the pre-recorded messages from Jimmy Wales after a catastrophic civilization failure will reveal that the encyclopedia was just a cover for his real plan. I've read Foundation, I know what's up.

A confident young boy. List of paradoxes. (God, I love the Monty Hall Problem.) I recently ended up at the entry for R&B singer Christopher Williams, which is pretty amusing: "Although he has been considered 'out of the game' by some, there are countless artists from several genres who give full credit to him for writing lyrics, performing, producing, editing, collaborating, and simply 'doing a favor for a friend.'"

Having just gone on another wormhole trip as a result of my last post, I've found en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Village_stocks which honours those Wikipedians who've made really silly mistakes in Wiki edits. Like the guy who accidentally blocked Jimmy Wales for a minute before reverting it. Or the user who, having been told "It's impossible to delete the Main Page", tried it and found that actually the Main Page could be deleted. Or the software update that brought down not just WP, but all Wikimedia sites. (I've been there. Fortunately on nothing like the same scale, but definitely have experienced that "ohnosecond" when you realise that you've done something catastrophically wrong.)
