Summary:
Marlo and his crew search for Omar. Omar hurt his leg but hid himself in a utility closet.
Bunk foes back to basics on the vacant murders after learning that the evidence from all the crime scenes has been jumbled together. He talks to Randy who is much harder now. He talks to Michael's mother who says Michael is running with Snoop and Chris and they are responsible for her boyfriend's murder. He asks for DNA on that murder, but it takes a back seat to McNulty's serial killer.
Carcetti vows to catch the serial killer, but they only approve 2 detectives. McNulty figures he needs another murder, but the police are on top of every homeless death.
Freamon figures out that Marlo is sending pictures instead of talking or texting on the cell phone.
Marlo takes over the co-op and blames Omar for Prop Joe and Hungry Man. Cheese and Monk split the city under Marlo.
Scott actually does a real story on a homeless vet, but Gus is still suspicious of him while he goes on national media about the serial killer.
Sealed grand jury files are found in Proposition Joe's shop indicating a leak in the court system.
Omar steals a gun and torches an SUV, calling Marlo out to the street to face him.
McNulty finds a schizophrenic homeless man and decides to photograph him with a red ribbon then dump him in Washington in order to further raise the profile of the serial killer and get authorization for a phone picture intercept.
Random thoughts:
I wonder how they got Nancy Grace to utter such inane questions? Oh wait... she probably thought it was real.
For a moment I thought McNulty was going full on Dexter. At least Baltimore has a few real police, unlike Miami Metro. But most of the good ones are in on McNulty's plan to some extent. Greggs seems like the only one to take him down now.
Sad cameos from Randy and Nick.
