Just discovered this, and I don't know what's real and what isn't anymore.

My friend just asked me if I'd seen this. I can tell you what is real is my lack of patience for 11 minutes of that. I had to skip forward a few times and probably had my fill with about 4 minutes of it.

I had fun trying to catch all the references, but it was not really surprising or disturbing.

Smarf Also, I love that the killer is pretty much there from the beginning.

Smarf Also, I love that the killer is pretty much there from the beginning. The sneakiest one is in the last family photo, when it's taken the father's face is replaced with that of the serial killer. EDIT: Actually, I was wrong. This one is the sneakiest:

Don't Hug Me .I'm Scared is better at building dread: I don't think dread's a huge part of why it works there; it's just kind of a surreal dream of all old overlong intros. The killer was probably the most expected part of it.

No, I skipped past that mark and a couple times after that to see if it got any more interesting. It just felt really repetitive and unnecessarily long.

It just felt really repetitive and unnecessarily long. The skipping might be the issue - for me, it was the cumulative affect, almost like a hypnogogic trance. But sounds like you're just not fussed, which is fine.

I'm with Iffy and MLA. I had to keep skipping forward. Okay, okay, I get it. Meh. I can definitely see the appeal of the joke, though.

I enjoyed about two minutes of this, and that might be pushing it. By the time it went into the third different style of 1980's TV show, I was ready to punch Seth MacFarlane. Moreso.

I must have watched it over 10 times by now. I even ripped the audio to have on my phone (for when I can't take it out to watch a video, but I need my Too Many Cooks fix, man!). 5/5 stars

I watched all the way through without skipping ahead because I was like "11 minutes?! There's gotta be something going on..."
And then!
So I had to watch it again. AND AGAIN.

Why did I even click that? There's a reason why I don't miss that guy at all.

Why did I even click that? There's a reason why I don't miss that guy at all. I was listening to The Gist today, and Casper Kelly was on explaining some of the inspiration behind Too Many Cooks. When describing the analysis that's come out, he obviously references TVDW's article, and says he's delighted by what people pull from it. "That's deep!" he says, kinda proudly.
