Definitely all rogues. I'm using bows right now and I find it to be a lot of fun. I love the move where you leap back and shoot a bunch of arrows at them. I use it when I'm right up close to them, so it's like an arrow shotgun blast.
Anyone try playing multiplayer yet? I'm finding it quite enjoyable. At first I heard people compare it to the dungeon crawling in a game like WoW, but without all the wait time and grinding to reach levels, just getting right into that dungeon exploring action, but I've found that isn't exactly the case. It reminds me more of Left 4 Dead, where you go through a series of levels, with a safehouse in between where you can heal, culminating in a final level where you must defeat multiple waves of enemies. I mean, it is similar to the dungeon crawling in an mmo, but seems to require less strategy. The main issue seems to be that the loot system is very poorly done. Takes forever to get items, and when you do chances are they're useless to you. I find it really addicting at the same time though, I've put singleplayer on hold for the time being, I need to get a good portion of this MP in. When you get a good party going it's really fun.

Does MP affect the "real" game in any way? In ME3, multiplayer could affect your "galactic readiness" or whatever.

Haven't played it at all. Is it in the same areas or new geographies?
I'd suggest we party up, but it would just be a couple double blade guys and a bunch of archers, and we would all be stealthin' around, dying.

I think your MP character is different than your PC.
Is anyone else here on Xbone?

It's a bunch of levels modeled after various single player areas. There's an Orlesian Chateau, Elven Ruins and Tevinter Ruins, I think. I imagine they'll add more. It doesn't affect SP at all, and much like Mass Effect you use separate characters with their own classes and move sets. They're definitely trying to do something similar to ME3, but it seems like they hit some bumps with EA along the way (at least that's who I want to blame for these mobile game-esque shenanigans) in that the crappy drop rates encourage you to spend real money to get items. The gameplay is fun enough to make me want to keep playing but I hope they patch drop rates and such soon, at least if they expect the MP to have any longevity like ME3 did.
What system is everyone on? I'm on Xbox One.

PS4 here. And yeah I really wish that drops were more frequent, it feels like a serious slog to unlock new classes. Also beat the game on my first playthrough, ending spoilers ahead I sided with the elven sentinels at the temple, eventually they let me/Morrigan use the well without destroying it. I had Morrigan drink from the well and at the final battle she turned into a dragon to fight beside me against Corypheus.
Cassandra became the next Divine, she reinstated the circle and templars but focused on helping the needy. Empress Celene is ruling, but the Duke is still alive and plotting against her in exile. The mages who I gave full freedom to, recreated the College of Enchanters. Some tensions between the College and the Circle mages, but no actual warring. I saved Hawke and he's done something over at Weisshaupt but who knows what, other Grey Wardens are trying to rebuild.
Iron Bull is the cutest romance.

I beat my second playthrough the other night and am starting on my third. I've done: male human rogue who romanced Dorian, sided with Mages, recruited Wardens, drank from the well, and Leliana became Divine; male Qunari mage who romanced Iron Bull, sided with Mages, recruited Warden, had Morrigan drink from the well, and again Leliana became Divine.
This time, I'm dong human male warrior to romance Cassandra, plan is to side with Templars and get her to be the Divine. Also unlike my other two who were atheist or agonistic, this guy is a humble Chantry boy who accepts the Herald of Andraste title.

I'm at level 12, and I still can't kill a dragon either. Is the Hinterlands one the easiest? I assume so.

All of the dragons are easier to down if you're about two levels above or more from them (until you become so leveled that Cassandra is a friggin' powerhouse, anyway.)

Ah. Maybe I should go kill that dragon. Also can you romance multiple people? Probably not, huh. It seems like you can, in a way. I was able to romance both Dorian and Iron Bull, but only up until I did the extra romance mission they gave. Before that happens, it seems you can break up and then get together with someone else and go back and forth and up and down making out with your party. But after I did Iron Bull's special romance mission, I decided to test out breaking up with him and getting together with Dorian, and although the option was there, nothing happened. So it was either a bug or you can't go all the way serious with someone and then get together with someone else.

I need to dig into the mechanics of the game a bit more. I don't think I have my guys spec'ed out right.

So, I used one of the re-spec amulets on Iron Bull, and now the Reaver skill tree is just . . . gone. Has anyone else had this happen?

I finally got back around to playing single player again after my lengthy multiplayer detour (which, mind you, hasn't ended. I'm finding it seriously addictive). I realized how much more I have left to go and it's just... daunting. I don't get how people beat it so quickly. Of course, multiplayer did dampen my enthusiasm enough that I'm not so concerned with going all completionist on it. At this point I just want to beat it. Partially because I really want to go back and play the second game now. The lore and world is really interesting, I want more of it, and I'm really curious as to the specifics of the second game. You can clearly play DA:I without having played it, but I can see how much better it would likely feel if I had. Going back to the multiplayer, I'm not sure what it is that's so addicting. Maybe it's because I primarily play the tank or support role (Keeper), and so I have to worry a bit more about playing tactically and it's not just a DPS grind. I also think the four skills only thing is actually a good idea. It forces you to think more creatively due to the restrictions. You need to find a synergy with your move set that suits your playstyle. So, I used one of the re-spec amulets on Iron Bull, and now the Reaver skill tree is just . . . gone. Has anyone else had this happen? That's an odd glitch, I haven't heard about it before. You should try mentioning it on Bioware's forums. Someone might have some sort of fix, or at the very least they'll be alerted and may fix it in the future.

Are all of us rogues? I think we are all rogues. Edit: this is what I decided to post instead of a lengthy diatribe asking why the Chantry didn't support elvish self-determination etc. Ain't got time for that. Oh god, I just realized that I picked rogue too. That's fantastic. And it was only because I had been doing warriors in my new playthroughs of Origins, Awakening and 2. What a delightful coincidence.

So I got the game for Christmas and finally installed it and started playing on New Year's Day. After the eh, decent prologue, I've really gotten into it. Mostly focusing on getting shit done in the Hinterlands for the time being. I've only done the visit to Val Royeaux so far, plotwise. Outside of the starter companions, so far I've recruited Sera and Vivienne. I intend to go after Bull and Blackwall soon. Does Dorian show up at Redcliffe? That would make sense.
It's a shame that we're not all on the same system.
I'm an elven, female double-bladed rogue. Of the five companions I have, Cassandra is definitely at the top, she's my major best friend. I really like her character, and Isa would totally romance her if she were available. Sera is probably the one I get along with the best after her, but I haven't gotten to talk to her, Varric and Vivienne as much compared to other two.
For romance, as an elf woman I actually have the most options. (Six. Six!) But while I like Cullen fine as a character, my character wouldn't be interested, and even though I'm in the only situation where I could romance Solas, why the fuck would I do that? I actually think he's pretty interesting, but what an asshole. So that leaves Sera, Blackwall, Bull and Josephine. We'll see what I think of Blackwall, but so far I think it's down to Sera or Bull. I really like her, and I've heard such fantastic things about Bull's romance.

Tea Rex: Is there any way you can really tell what your advisors think of you, since they don't have the Approval/Disapproval messages as far as I can tell. Maybe it's just that I'm very early in the game. It would make sense that you'd be able to tell what kind of relationship you've developed with them.

Finally got around to finishing my first playthrough. My decisions were: Sided with the mages, and partnered with them equally; didn't exile the Grey Wardens, because I'm not a dummy; let Celene keep ruling, and am regretting not chopping off Gaspard's head; I fought the temple elves because it was close to finishing and I was in no mood to negotiate; let Morrigan drink because the game laid on the whole foreboding consequences thing pretty thick, hoo boy was I thankful for that dragon assist; made Cassandra the next Divine because I was getting a serious fanatic vibe from Leliana towards the end. Leaned in hard to the whole Herald role (Andrastian throne FTW) and also saved Hawke because that guy I'd never heard of seemed to be a total redshirt since this was my first DA game.
Basically I ended up with an almost purely Neutral Good world state, reaffirming my fears that I'm a super boring goody-two-shoes despite my general self image.
I romanced Josephine, which was a hilariously cheeseball romance but in a fun way. I dueled a Frenchman for her hand in a public square for chrissakes.
This is how I think the inner circle and I ended up based on tarot card (kinda want a deck of those) changes, general tenor, and the fact that I got a trophy for having so many friends:
Super Best Pals - Iron Bull (tal-vashoth), Sera, Varric, Blackwall (he also kinda owes me his life and freedom and stuff), Cullen. Very close friends with a healthy dose of sexual tension - Cassandra (was super jealous of Josephine, some funny dialogue there) and Dorian (ended up seeing if he was down to be a side piece, wasn't having it)
Friendly - Leliana, Cole, and Solas (had some philosophical differences but got along pretty well, and uh, that turns out to be a very good thing. I had to do some internetting after that epilogue.)
Vivienne - The worst. Was so sick of her shit that by the time I got offered her friend quest I told her it was frivolous and not to waste my time. That was pretty much that.
Also anyone that didn't constantly flirt with Scout Harding is a soulless monster and we cannot be friends.

So I wound up romancing Blackwall after all. Go figure. I'm stationed at Skyhold now, almost to level 11, have every companion, and a bunch of their quests. Mostly exploring the Western Approach and the Fallow Mire at the moment. Have yet to do the next plot missions after the attack on Haven.
The group I primarily fight with is Iron Bull, Blackwall and I switch the mage off between Vivienne and Dorian. The banter between all of them is fantastic. I originally had Bull, Viv and Sera, but realized that Sera wasn't contributing enough, especially with me the weak two-blade rogue too.
