Doomsday looks like a LOTR Cave Troll and the Golgothan from Dogma had a baby together.

That trailer made the movie seem more fun than I was expecting. I mean still not great but not a slog either. Ugh Doomsday though...

At least Jesse Eisenberg knows what kind of film he is in and hammed it up appropriately. I wonder if they will keep some continuity with the Nolan films. I liked how Marvel switched out the Hulk actors and directors but kept just enough continuity so that each appearance was not a total reboot.

In the freeze frame on the YouTube player up there, I mistook Jesse Eisenberg for Amy Adams, what with the face obscured by the play icon, the height difference, the hair, the chin, and the slightly blousey-looking shirt.

Man, casual moviegoers are gonna have no clue what the hell is going on in the last 30 seconds of this trailer.
Loving that hammy Jesse Eisenberg, dude looks like he's having a blast.
Pleeeeasssee give Amy Adams something to do in this one!!!

I don't know who that rocky dude is at the end but he looks so generic, he could be any random monster from a thousand movies. I didn't know Jeremy Irons was in this (he's Alfred?), he and slightly-less-awkward Jesse Eisenberg pique my interest. And they could've given Wonder Woman and Amy Adams at least a line, instead we see their perfectly styled locks flowing in the wind.

Pleeeeasssee give Amy Adams something to do in this one!!!She's got to be pissed about signing on for this right? You figure she thought she had to chase the money with at least one superhero/sci-fi franchise and if you're going to get stuck in the "hero's girlfriend' role, at least she was going to get to play the most iconic superhero's girlfriend and one that at least tends to be portrayed as a highly competent professional. But since the reaction to MoS apparently signaled that Superman-only movies were a no-go, she's now stuck in what appears to be a completely nothing role, any hopes of expanding beyond what she got to do in the first movie pretty much dashed.
Also, good luck to those of you excited about this, but it looks awful to me. They managed to hit my three biggest superhero movie dislikes: crappy looking monster CGI, obsession with franchise table-setting, and shoe-horning in a 'cool' 90's villain.

I do get an overstuffed Spiderman 3 vibe from the latest trailer despite liking Eisenberg's Luthor. We have Bruce Wayne and the aftermath of MOS, then Superman's trial, fighting Batman at least a couple of times while Lex manipulates them and works on turning Zod into Doomsday. THEN we drop in Wonder Woman? I imagine she gets less screen time than Godzilla did.

Oh, I would be completely unsurprised if the shot of Wonder Woman in the preview is damn near the end of the movie and it's just set up for Justice League.

I'm only going to see the movie for Wonder Woman, but I'm gonna go see it at the second-run $4 movie theater because there's no way I'm paying full price for approximately 5 minutes of her. I wonder if Snyder would bother to let Wondy be in character and actually care about all the collateral damage going on, but something tells me I'm gonna have to wait for her solo movie to get a proper Diana.

You're probably right, but I'll be giddy with excitement anyway when the time comes. I do really love the recent animated Wonder Woman film, though. Keri Russell did an amazing job as Diana. Maybe I'll just watch that a few dozen times.

This isn't going to be a good movie. Man of Steel was straight up terrible, and Snyder hasn't learned a damn thing. But I'm going to see this movie in theaters and probably like it. I did lie a little bit about Synder not learning anything, this new trailer actually makes it seem like he has put some fun stuff in the movie. Is lex luthor at all like lex luthor? Nope. But look at how many different iterations of the Joker there has been. Eisenberg looks to be having a blast and I actually like what he is doing here. The CGI looks bad though, and there is still too much needless destruction.
I also don't really care about doomsday one way or the other, all doomsday will be is a plot device. The main plot of the movie isn't about beating Doomsday it is about Batman and Superman becoming friends. I would prefer starro, but we already know Snyder has a thing against fish like aliens.

I just got back from Owlman v. Superman. It was not good, but it wasn't quite as bad as I was afraid it would be - not Batman Forever/Batman and Robin "contempt for the characters and audience" level bad, more Daredevil "We don't know what we're doing and aren't very bright" bad. The movie only really works if you assume everyone in it is an idiot, which, admittedly, is supported by the movie, in which everyone was an idiot. And modeling Doomsday on "poop after someone eats white corn" wasn't a good direction either. Surprisingly, I blame the writers more than the director. Snyder didn't ruin a good script here, he gave a bad script enough room to be bad in. I'll also say this: there may not be a panel left of Dark Knight Returns that didn't make it to screen between this movie and the Nolan ones. I really want Paul Dini running the DC Cinematic Universe. PS: I think they modeled The Flash on this action figure:
