G1 CLIMAX DAY 2
I think Block B is stronger overall, mainly because of Elgin, Tonga and especially SANADA there as potential spoilers. I hope Kojima wasn't Juice's lone big win. Kenny is a really fantastic babyface when he wants to be. I think SANADA vs Suzuki is the match I'm most interested in at this point as SANADA already wrestles like a face and no one is better than putting people in peril than Minoru.

G1 CLIMAX DAY 3-5
Okada vs Elgin was astounding and will be difficult to top as match of the tournament. Fale is maybe stealth MVP so far with his heel work and it really feels like he can fuck up everyone's day after the Naito win. Some sort of BC break up angle looks inevitable now and I just hope we don't end up with Omega / Cody at WK. If KUSHIDA is resting up it's cool but I'm starting to miss him

This makes me so unbelievably happy. Me too! The weird thing is, during the Great Khali's prominence I was not a fan at all. At the time I was fully on board the "I need more workrate and flips why doesn't WWE push actual wrestlers over freak shows like the Great Khali I think every match should be workrate and I believe everything I read in 411Wrestling" As we mature, our wrestling tastes mature with us. As an aside, I'm also glad that they've seemingly moved beyond the Attitude Era for their nostalgia acts now. Bring on more Ruthless Aggression dudes! |

If they bring Paul Burchill back, they need to bring back his 'sister' as well. Someone give Vince the greenlight to try doing an incest angle again. A year ago, send that message back to 4 months ago and no one would believe it. I've watched a lot of wrestling in my life and cannot recall a more batshit insane feud than this. Sure there's stuff like a be-masked Hulk Hogan and one legged Zack Gowen battling Roddy Piper and Sean O'Haire (in 2003) but that was some undercard nonsense, not the main event. And yes, obviously if they bring back Paul Burchill they'd need to bring his "sister" back. |

BBBBUUUURRRRRRRRNNNNIIIINNNNGGGG HHHHHAAAAAAMMMMMMEEEEEERRRRRRRRRR.
I was SURE Kenny was gonna win and wasn't happy about Elgin's finish not working on any of the top guys but then they went KING'S ROAD on us. And now Tama has bragging rights over beating Elgin when Kenny couldn't!
Okada heeling it up against Kojima was fucking glorious and I hope he keeps it up. If Juice beats him I'm gonna jump up and down for an hour.
ZSJ is the guy I like more and more during the tournament, I hope he doesn't stall after beating Tana and Fale.
The booking of both blocks is insanely good, A being wide open and B building to a titanic clash. I think Naito's gonna come out on top in the finals and I wonder how much more of a face him and LIJ are gonna be booked as, especially after EVIL upset MiSu

I had SANADA as the breakout guy from this tourney but he lost to all three of the main eventers in his block and was first to lose to Kojima. EVIL beat MiSu and Okada (first singles loss in 363 days) and it's well deserved imo as his matches are great. Gedo is maybe the MVP for all of wrestling when he can pull off a night of amazing upsets like this.
