I believe the 3rd one is the first classic episode I ever watched back in 2004, but the 5th one might be my favorite.

I'm not at all surprised to see V winning this handily. There are many great Treehouse episodes but that one has pretty much everything (including a great running gag connecting all three stories.)

Yeah, I love all of the first seven TOHs about equally, but V is just one of the absolute funniest episodes the show ever did, it manages to be one of their very best to me solely on how well it does that. And it's rare to get a designation like that from me for "just" being really funny.

I went with III, after a lot of debate. V is awesome, but Nightmare Cafeteria gets a bit too grand guignol for my taste toward the end--as does the song-and-dance number at the end. I love King Homer and Dial Z, and while Clown Without Pity isn't as good, it does have the legendary "that's good...that's bad" routine.

I put that in question form so that I sound like less of a nerd.

I was going to go contrarian and vote for IV (I just love Moleman's exploding Gremlin), but when I looked in my heart of hearts, there was no denying that V is the superior episode, what with "Make homer something something", Grandpa's advice to homer on his wedding day, and Uterbratten.

Also Homer talking about how great his life is and lucky he is suddenly undercut by DAAAAAAD YOUR HAND'S JAMMED IN THE TOASTER IT'S IN THERE AGAIN

"I hope that rug is Scotchguarded" was funny because haha, Willie gets killed and Marge is only worried about staining the rug. *ten years later* HOLY CRAP WILLIE IS ALSO SCOTTISH THIS IS TWO JOKES

I would've chosen V because it's so good, but I have this soft spot for the ep where Homer is 3D (has anyone seen Tron?). I recorded it on VHS for some strange reason and ended up watching it a lot over time.
Also, the raining doughnuts in V makes me SO ANGRY. It's unfair!
