I figure we (all three of us) could use a thread for just general talking about Big Finishβnew licenses, upcoming releases, etc.

I was reading through my old reviews and: Wish granted. Also there's a The Two Masters story coming up with Macqueen and Beevers.

π cahusserole π - Great idea on the thread! Tagging Nathan Ford's Evil Twin as well. And maybe Alasdair Wilkins will drop in from time to time, who knows? I'm stoked for The Two Masters, it seems like an obvious idea that, now we actually have two Masters who are still alive, should be a lot of fun (though now I'm imagining an on-screen meeting between SimMaster and Missy as well). And yes, Macqueen and Baker should be a very cool meeting. @patrickbatman - well we appreciate that you tried!

I do enjoy Big Finish news! It'll probably be years before I experience the MacQueen Master though haha, hope he lives up to the hype.
Now for a general question, should I prioritize buying the first River Song collection, or the first War Doctor collection?

Nathan Ford's Evil Twin - I've heard both of them now, and I'd say River over the War Doctor. I don't know how much you know about either so I'll avoid direct spoilers, but River's is, while fairly light, thoroughly enjoyable: fun, bubbly, occasionally serious and Alex Kingston is clearly having the time of her life, which is incredibly infectious. The War Doctor is fine, but it's just another bog standard Big Finish Dalek story but with John Hurt instead of Sylvester McCoy or Colin Baker (or whoever). I'd be tempted to write my own review of it, but I was more than a touch disappointed by it.

π cahusserole π Nathan Ford's Evil Twin - Well this is only tangentially Big Finish news I suppose, but it made me mighty sad, as Gareth Thomas, Blake from Blake's 7 and a bunch of other characters in BFs Doctor Who line, died today. May he forever travel at Standard By Twelve.

π cahusserole π and Nathan Ford's Evil Twin - tagging you both here because I feel the news released on Big FInish's website today deserves some kind of acknowledgement. What that acknowledgement is, however.... So, for the first time since the 1996 TV Movie, the Right Honourable Mr Eric Roberts will be returning to the role of the Master. Alongside BEEVERS. And Derek Jacobi. And Michelle Gomez. All four of them in one story, facing... River Song. I mean. That has to be acknowledged, right?
