Um, I guess I can start this thread, right? You can nominate one book: fiction, nonfiction, prose, drama, poetry, literally an actual dictionary, fucking whatever, it doesn't matter. Nominations will be accepted until 11:59 pm EST on January 26th. Then I'll put up a poll and leave it up for a week or so, and the actual discussion thread will probs open a couple of days into February. As is the TI Book Club custom, the runner-up in the last book club poll gets automatically renominated, and this month that book is How to Build a Girl by Caitlin Moran NominationsHow to Build a Girl by Caitlin Moran - nominated by the vote of the electorate Light In August by William Faulkner - nominated by Roy Batty's Pet Dove Man After Man by Dougal Dixon - nominated by Jean-Luc Lemur Edith's Diary by Patricia Highsmith - nominated by Ice Cream Planet

Dougal Dixon’s Man After Man, which has been haunting my thoughts since since GHZ posted a link to it in the Speculative Evolution thread. The whole thing’s online, it looks damn creepy and interesting, and it’s science fiction in the format of a non-fiction coffee table book, which is interesting.
