For the longest time, in All Along the Watchtower, I heard "The hour is getting late" as "And I was getting laid."

For the longest time, in All Along the Watchtower, I heard "The hour is getting late" as "And I was getting laid." I still can't unhear that. I don't know why people get so much more hung up on "'Scuse me while I kiss this guy." Anyway,

Oh I've got plenty, they're never funny. They're always something like, the singer says a single syllable word as two syllables, and I assume the second syllable is another filler-type word rather than just an extended pronunciation of the first word.
Anyway, here is the best misheard lyric video. It cracks me up every time.

Mt favorite was my father's mishearing a line in the Stones' "Happy." Instead of "never got a lift off a learjet," he thought Keith was singing "Never got a look at a midget." Google says at least one other person made the same mistake.

When I was a kid, I thought the end of the chorus to Hootie and the Blowfish's "Hold My Hand" was not:
"I'm gonna love you / the best that / the best that I can."
I thought it was:
"I'm gonna love you / the bear said / the bear said I can."
I imagined some sort of parental-figure bear creature deigned over Hootie's love life.

I can’t take credit for this one as it came from the younger sister of one of my friends, but when she was a kid she thought the chorus to Deep Purple’s “Smoke on the Water” went “Sloooow motion Waaaaalter / The fire engine guy”

I'll never forget being in a gay bar and they were playing Lady Gaga's new song, 'Applause,' which I misheard as 'applesauce.'
To be honest, 'I live for the applesauce, applesauce, applesauce' would make for a much better song.

I thought for a long time that the second verse of the Transformers Cartoon theme was "Transformers: robots in the skies."

"COME MONKEY MONKEY DOWN WITH THE SICKNESS"
Fun fact: the Anaheim Angels have actually run with this, making a monkey their mascot and "Down with the Sickness" their theme song.
Let me repeat, the theme song of the Anaheim Angels is "Down with the Sickness." Orange County, everyone!

This came up in the comments of an article at TOC last week: I know it's supposed to be "revved up like a deuce" but nope, he very clearly says "wrapped up like a douche". He even holds on the "sh" sound!

There's a song on the new Anthrax album For All Kings called "Monster At The End" with the following lines in the chorus:
"Down and under where the damned are riding / Down and under where you pay"
...and it sounds like...
"Down in underwear the damned are riding / Down in underwear you pay"

Someone here or on AVC mentioned this one, I never heard it this way myself, but I wish I had: "the cross-eyed bear that you gave to me" in You Oughta Know.

Even though I know the lyrics to Beast of Burden are All your sickness, I can suck it up
Throw it all at me, I can shrug it offI still hear ' I can suck a duck' in both of those spots.

In the Meat Puppets' "Warranty," I always heard "through the eyes of antique dolls" as "through the eyes of Anti-God" until I looked at the lyrics. And that line didn't seem out of place.

For the longest time I though that one Kiss song bellowed, "I wanna rock n' roll all night! And part of every day!"
