First movie you saw in theaters and knew you hated:i'm confused, how is this different from worst movie seen in theaters? You know how, as a kid, you see a lot of bad movies but go along because hey, it's a new movie, or you just assumed you were the one who didn't get it, or you just convinced yourself it was good because you really wanted it to be? I'm talking about the film that broke that self-delusion.

First movie ever seen: Hard to say. From age 3-5 I saw a lot of movies projected at the local library. Probably something from Disney. Lady and the Tramp? For various reasons I was also exposed to horrible things between 3 and 4, including Darby O'Gill and the Little People (the banshee!), Gremlins, and Aliens.
First movie in theaters: either Batman (1989), or the 1989 theatrical re-release of Peter Pan (1953); I can't find the exact date for the latter
First premiere screening: School of Rock (2003)
First movie seen for birthday: N/A
Worst movie seen in theaters (first run): Coyote Ugly (2000) or Pearl Harbor (2001), I'm not going back to figure out which was worse
First R-rated movie (theater): How High (2001)
First movie seen alone: Spider-Man (2002)
First movie you saw in theaters and knew you hated: Coyote Ugly (2000)
First movie date: History of the World: Part I (1981), watched in 2004
First midnight movie: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990), watched in 2002-2003
First movie after having kids: N/A

First movie ever seen: I suspect Star Wars, but I don't remember actually seeing it, just having seen it. The first I distinctly remember is Superman, when I was three, and it's my earliest distinct memory First movie in theaters: Same as above. First premiere screening: If this means seeing something in preview screenings, The Man Who Wasn't There is the only one I've gone to First movie seen for birthday: No idea; it's not something I've generally made a point of doing, and my birthday is in the September movie graveyard Worst movie seen in theaters (first run): Tough to say. Possible contenders: Alien:Resurrection, Superman III, Superman IV, Batman Forever, Eye of the Beholder First R-rated movie (theater): Maybe Amadeus, but I can't remember for sure whether I saw it in the theater. I know I saw Good Morning, Vietnam in the theater, but not sure if there were any between Amadeus and it. First movie seen alone: I think Terminator 2, which is also the first R-Rated movie I went to without my parents. I was 15, had already seen it once, and it didn't even occur to me that I might get carded. I did look older than I was, though. First movie you saw in theaters and knew you hated: Superman III First movie date: I honestly don't remember. First midnight movie: I'm not 100% sure I've ever done one, but it was probably one of the Star Wars prequels if I did. First movie after having kids: Not applicable, never will be

First movie ever seen: Probably something R-rated my parents wanted to watch on VHS and knew I’d be too young to remember First movie in theaters: The Rescuers Down Under (or maybe the IMAX Ring of Fire at the Museum of Science if we’re going by first theatrical experience) First premiere screening: Star Trek: Generations (time is the fire in which we burn, heroboy) First movie seen for birthday: I don’t think I’ve ever done this, but if I have it was an IMAX theater at the museum Worst movie seen in theaters (first run): What, no, there’s no Trek film in between Insurrection and the reboot First R-rated movie (theater): No clue, honestly. First movie seen alone: Rebecca (a revival screening in 2006) First movie you saw in theaters and knew you hated: Tom Hardy in a squeaky leather outfit? In a Star Trek film? No, doesn’t ring a bell. First movie date: Probably a late-run or revival screening of some film at the U. of Chicago—I had a film club pass so it wasn’t usual for me to go three-four times a week sometimes. But I can’t recall. First midnight movie: American GangsterFirst movie after having kids: You mean for dinner, right?

Second movie seen more than once in the theater: Star Wars: Episode II (2002) - It was my first time working in a lab as an undergraduate, and some grad students wanted to go see this in IMAX. So, also my first IMAX movie.
Third movie seen more than once in the theater: The Matrix Reloaded (2003) - I was so flabbergasted I immediately snuck into a successive showing. Also the first and only time I've snuck in to a movie.
Fourth movie seen more than once in the theater: Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)?? I can't remember an example in between. That's right folks, the early 2000s put me so far off it took a dozen years to recover.

I think I saw Star Wars more than once in the theater, with the second time being one of the re-releases, but I'm not 100% sure. I know I saw E.T. twice in the theater, with the second time being a rerelease. After that, the next movies I remember seeing twice in the theater were Terminator 2 and Star Trek VI, though I may have seen Batman twice in the theater as well, and have seen so many since then multiple times that the list would be pretty extensive.

How on earth do you guys remember some of these?!?
Only one I remember for sure is first premiere screening, "127 Hours", because it's the only premiere I've attended. Q&A afterwards with Danny Boyle, James Franco, and AR Rahman.
Oh...other than all the premieres of my own movies, of course.
Hang on, remembered another: First midnight movie: Black Dynamite (first run/TX premiere)
Only movies I've seen in theatres multiple times as an adult: Inside Out (twice), Mad Max: Fury Road (twice), Juno (twice)
