An F-22 amongst other other military aircraft, it being CNE weekend. It's an impressive piece of technology, prescinding from any other consideration.

Lt. Broccoli How is it there? How long did it take to gain admittance? I'm seeing many of the aircraft quite well just passing over, but I've yet to go over to the fair grounds.

We got there earlier this morning around 10:30, so it wasn't too busy yet. When we left around 1:30 the lineup to get in was insane.

More F-22 Raptor! I can't seem to escape its cheerful, beneficent presence wherever I go!
I think I wouldn't be the person to sit on a defense procurement committee because I'd be inclined to treat the sexiness of contours as the preponderate consideration over any of functionality.

The Duomo in Florence is crap. The bell tower is a great view and designed by Giotto, the baptistry has the best mosaic I have ever seen, and the Duomo is a long line for a big but empty cathedral. There are plenty of better churches in the very same city.

Local Cruise Night Edition: Lots and lots of classic cars including 1937 Cord 1927 Bugatti racer (that won some cross country race in Italy in 1927) Santa in a Mustang convertible Morgan 3 wheeler many, many more
They also had Fisher's Hi-Boy hamburgers, which was a local pre-Big-Mac triple-decker burger place complete with their original secret sauce, authorized by the family of the original owners. I hadn't had one since the Hi-Boy closed some 30-35 years ago, and the line for them tonight stretched around the block, and yes, it really was that good.

From earlier in the week, when I was buying some groceries at Giant Eagle. Older gentleman in a tam, yellow, black and red kilt*, knee high argyle socks, and bright orange running shoes. He announces to the street at large that these his "messiah shoes", (pronounced "mΙ-SHEE-uh")and he's wearing them so that when the messiah comes, He'll be sure to see him. An orthodox Jewish man walking by quips, "Oh, I think He'd have a hard time missing you."
* I see him around the neighborhood sporadically. This is one of multiple kilts he owns.

I once saw a man in a kilt in a Sears store in Centralia Il in January in about twelve degree weather. I asked someone at the store about it and they said that was his usual outfit, and he lived around the area. I don't get to Centralia that often, but I haven't spotted him since. That was a very cold winter.

in spite of all the light pollution, the moon, the stars, presumably some planets that kinda look like stars from a distance!
comment: "That Netflix show was pretty good, but this is better." I guess cigarette breaks are better with a blanket to ward off the cold night.

A crookbacked, down-on-his-luck gentleman whom I gave a ride to downtown Wellington. His name was Ian. I did not ask his surname for fear of blowing my mind, Post-Lupin. Also, a lot of TΕ«Δ« (Parson bird) The ones near our house do light mimicry of cell phone ringtones starting @ 0500, or something clearly electronic in origin. Their namesake beer is alright, with fewer notes.

A fuck off big haunted house type spider who built a large web on the side of my home. I used a plant stake to knock it off and get rid of the web. But I didn't see where the spider went. He landed somewhere near the coleus ... I think. God help me, I'll be seeing that huge fucker every time I close my eyes and in my nightmares tonight and jumping every time I shed a hair for a week.
