This weekend the Dallas Trebuchet Society is having a "fall fling" with lots and lots of pumpkins. There'll be prizes for accuracy and distance. Heck yeah I'm going as a spectator.

This weekend the Dallas Trebuchet Society is having a "fall fling" with lots and lots of pumpkins. There'll be prizes for accuracy and distance. Heck yeah I'm going as a spectator. Good luck remaining a spectator, and not a target. Tomorrow is a variety halloween show in which my girlfriend is belly dancing (she keeps saying she's retiring, but keeps booking events). The event is being held in an old victorian house that's since become a historic museum. It's going to be a pretty swanky event, which fits in with my Dandy Lion costume. So far It's just a yellow suit jacket, mustard colored pants, white gloves, a brown vest, and face paint. I have some material that's fake animal fur, that I need to figure out how to make into a mane. I'll probably use some of that material to affix to the white gloves or the jacket as well. |

The only good Halloween costume I ever had in my life was in, like, pre-kindergarten or kindergarten. Boomer dressed me as "Liz the Lion". Brown pants, brown turtleneck (these both were easy to find, as it was the late '70s/early '80s) hand embroidered in gold and orange letters, "Liz the Lion", a tiny bit of face paint (for a lion nose and whiskers), and a mop on my head. She braided a bit of orange yarn into the mop to make it a bit more lion-y. So... have you considered a mop for a mane?  |

Accidentally showed up at a concert by NicoNicoRose and his significant other on Saturday night at The Foundry in Dallas - it was Girlfriend Meeting The Parents night and my mom was craving fried chicken. Unfortunately, the fried chicken stunk and we were still hungry while the band before got on stage, so we high-tailed it outta there and got some pizza. But hey, at least there was this moment: MC: Coming up later, Missing Sibling! Me: Hey, I know a guy in that band! Everyone Else: huh?!  !??! Me: uh...long story |
